New and looking for advice

Hello all. I'm trying to lose some weight here. I'm not obese, by any means, but I do want to get out of the 170s. My main goal weight is 140ish. I have pre diabetes, which losing the weight will really help with that. My main problem is that I have two dissolving lumbar discs in my lower back. I find it hard to work out, due to all of the back pain that I am dealing with. I take our two American Eskimos for a walk every day, but even that gets physically tiring and I would be in screaming pain by then end of it. I have changed my diet around...don't eat much junk, like I used to. I've been told to eat smaller meals throughout the day, but how does that help? I'm also dealing with that "womanly" issue, so I'm majorly bloated. I also get very hungry around that time. Can anyone help me?

Eating smaller more frequent meals keeps your metabolism up. Your body has to work more to digest the food throughout the day instead of digesting just three times a day. I try to consume 5 small meals per day each containing approx. 300 calories.

For back pain... have you tried ice on the spine for about 20 min. per hour? Also, consuming pineapple reduces inflammation.

    Hope that helps.

I've done ice, heat. In fact, I'm on pain medication and have another appointment in May for it. I didn't know pineapple reduces inflammation. That is an interesting fact. I will definitely have to try that. I will also try the smaller meals throughout the day too. Hopefully it will help. Thanks.
