Travel Agent by day, struggling comedian by night. They're both pretty awesome, though of course I'd rather just be a comic.

Was a teacher, now a mummy. I work for my partners company too. I loved teaching but took a position at a really rough school and it ruined it for ever. Yes it was THAT bad... But i love being a mummy, even though that can be hard at times too with a 2.5 year old and a 15 month old.

Currently a training facilitator- I help people train on the company's computer software for the oil industry. I love it mainly because I was unemployed for about 8 months, and self-employed trying to fight for every hour of work before that, and the thought that someone would give me contract that means I get paid every day was unspeakably exciting.

Recently, I almost applied for a (electricity) meter job! My brother is one and this sounded like the dream job, being paid to exercise in a way I totally enjoy (walking). The hours were wrong for my family's lifestyle though :(

i am a preschool teacher, at least for the next 2 weeks. i turned in my 2-week notice and resigned last Friday. i really loved my job and it was rewarding on every level, but i'm a full time student studying social work and the class schedule and work load i have wasn't conducive to the 48+ hours a week shifts i've been pulling for the past year.

next semester i'm taking 18 credit hours and doing a part-time internship with a local youth outreach program. i don't know if i'll have time for a job, but i am thinking about applying some local fro-yo shops :)

Bit Herder. Sometimes they escape into Dev Null, and that makes me sad. Other than that, it is a challenging and interesting job.
  • I'm a wedding minister! Love what I do, I'm around joy and happiness and celebration all the time. It's pretty great,

I make test takers and heartbreakers out of second graders.

The best part of the job is seeing them grow, both academically and emotionally.

The worst part is that we still have a lot of "everybody gets a trophy" people in education, which is ruining this generation.

    Do not celebrate mediocrity.

    Do not marginalize exceptionalism.

I'm a phlebotomist and I LOVE MY JOB. I used to do it as a contract employee at nursing homes and the lock down wards were my favorite. Nothing better than having a conversation with a cute lil old lady that thinks it's 1920 again. Now I work in family practice and I still love what I do!

I'm a full time student trying to get my BA in teaching Language Arts. I've had every kind of low rent job you can think of. I'm between jobs, but I got hired at a MovieStop that hasn't opened just yet.

Good luck with the job search! I suggest applying to department stores or other retail settings. It's repetitive sometimes and boring, but it's relatively stress free.

I am a nurse in an emergency department. Most days I enjoy what I do, traumas and heart attacks are challenging...We see some pretty incredible things...people do the strangest things. The worst part of the job is caring for very sick, injured, or dying children (which thankfully the dying children are few and far between).

I'm a marketing specialist for an architect and developement firm. It's my favorite job in a long line of jobs. lol!

Favorite part of the job? I don't always have to be chained to a desk?

Least favorite part? Dealing with some snooty people... 9 out of 10 times the people I deal with are nice though

    I work two jobs.

My main job is I work at a call center. Pay and benefits are good. What I don't like is I get a 30 minute lunch lol. My second job is I'm a waitress at a steakhouse. Typically work that on the weekends. Base pay for that isn't too bad, but mainly work for tips. Once in a while I do get called in to work in the evenings during the weekday and as soon as I'm done with my first job, drive back home, change into my work shirt and jeans and buy the time I get there, I'm pooped but I suck it up for a few hours. All about the mula in the end!

I work at a trucking company and I get oversized/over permits for truck drivers. I not going to a complain. I'm want to change my career, I went to school for Health Information Technology but I don't have healthcare experience so no one will hire me. But I'm not giving up, I'm applying everywhere.:)

I am an elementary teacher in Canada. I have taught 25 years and many subjects - math, science, LA, social studies, art, health, music, French, special education, physical education, multi-age groups. It is the best life ever - it's not just a job, but a profession that I am proud to be part of. I wanted to be a teacher when I was in grade 1 and my dream came true. There is nothing else I would rather be doing.:flowerforyou:

I'm a cook. First I worked at a resort hotel for about a year then changed over to my current job at a country club. I loved my career at first, but now I'm having second thoughts. Trying to get into school so I can start my career as a psychologist.

Best thing about my job is the diversity of food that I get to try and work with. If I weren't in this field I never would have gotten to try it.
Worst thing about my job is the long hours, constantly going balls to the wall from the time I walk in until the time I leave, and it is a very competitive field that I just don't have what it takes to survive in.
