Exercising alone is boring and depressing even with music or a ipad :( What to do?

    What sort of exercise are you doing and what sort of things do you enjoy?

    I like my treadmill but it is in a room all alone, I love when I see that I have ran two miles but to get there and stay there is a problem.

    I would suggest finding more engaging forms of cardio. Maybe go outside. I hate the dreadmill.

    I find on the elliptical I have a huge mental block. TV or music just makes me more aware of the time passing. I tend to zone out and daydream. Its strangely relaxing and makes the time go faster.

    Join a gym, take group classes, walk with friends, find a running buddy?

    Personally I trail run with my dogs, they provide entertainment.

    Do you have a local friend who might be interested in running (outside) with you? Or maybe sign up for an exercise class.

    Can you move the treadmill? Mine is out in the lounge so that I can be around people when I exercise.

    Other than that I would try the other suggestions. Especially just getting outside. I LOVE running outside as opposed to on he treadmill, so much more interesting.
