    Hypothetical questions are so hard to answer truthfully, we tend to lie to ourselves because we think we'd always do what's right. I'd say that sure I'd turn in a family member/friend because that's what I would consider to be the right course of action. Without the stress and pressure of the situation actually weighing down on us then it's just a bit of posturing.

    I'm also unsure what the Boston Marathon has to do with whether you'd report someone you know if they committed a crime.

    Because the special agent in charge from the FBI said the following

    'Today we are enlisting the public's help to identify the two suspects,' Richard DesLauriers, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation's special agent in charge in Boston, told a news conference.
    'Somebody out there knows these individuals as friends, neighbors, co-workers or family members of the suspects. Though it may be difficult, the nation is counting on those with information to come forward and provide it to us,' said DesLauriers while cautioning that they were considered armed and dangerous.
