Morning!

I read this today out of all days and it inspired me to continue when I felt like giving up because of my 4 week plateau. Don't fret I figured out I need to eat more. This is a great inspiration to keep going cause if he did it by counting calories and light exercise to begin with so can we

Much thanks for sharing. I have been feeling rather in the dumps lately and like weight loss was hopeless but if this guy can go from 505 to 230 then I can certainty bust my butt and do it. Cheers for the post and thanks again.

Thanks for sharing! So inspirational. I like that he put his blog up for all to see to make him accountable. I recently changed my food diary to public for the same reason. Hopefully my friends will call me out when they see me eating crappy. I also feel more obligated to log everything so nobody thinks I'm trying to hide my donut binges...LOL

Thats amazing. One thing I noticed about his blog, and most every other long term success story, and in this weight loss/life changing journey i'm finally on. The decision to remove all excuses. Man was I full of them, and sadly my kids were the biggest excuses..."i'm a single mom its too hard to do it with two kids" Or "Its so tough, being a single working mom of two kids...I'm so exhuasted" when i removed the excuses from my life, there was nothing left to do except do it. and my biggest excuse turned into my biggest motivation. My kids are young 3 and almost 5 .....since this is a life style change they are going to grow up seeing mommy going to the gym, going to the gym with mommy, eating healthy, maybe just maybe since this will be their life style growing up they will never have to go through this, maybe I can save them the pain, disappointment, frustration, that comes with being over weight, trying and failing to loose. I never had that growing up, i never knew "regular people" worked out, it wasn't till i joined the navy that i ever really heard of it, except for realting to athletes training, or models trying to be super skinny. I want to provide so much more for my kids, and live a life with out excuses..... and....saying "i'll try" to me has just because another excuse (some cases i'll try is needed but hopefully most of you know what I mean) We all have the ablity to choose and trying most often is just an easy way of allowing our selves to fail. Instead I'll try...Its I will....maybe it'll take me a while but i will loose the weight I will work out, I will change what I want to change in my life because I am only person who has the power to make the change or defeat myself. --- sorry got on my soap box for a few mins there.....it's just been a really life changing mental emontaly jounery for me and wanted to share it with everyone.

    Thanks for beign here guys!

That was awesome, I love stories like this. The best thing is how different and HAPPY they look afterwards. People always say " he looks like a completely different person" but he's not, he's just finally him!

Wow thanks for sharing. You know what you are so right when you say I have 2 kids or kids in general and don't have the time but you HAVE to find the time for YOU. I have a 16 month old and a soon to be 4 year old and if I can work full time for 40-45 hours a week AND work out at least an hour a day then anyone can. Its all about how bad you want it. Before my 4 year old would only want soda, cookies, ice cream, etc. and still does as any child but since my husband and I have become exercise freaks and are making better food choices such as cooking more and if we go out to eat sharing our foods our daughter has said at times "I will not eat too much of those cookies cause it hurts my body if I overdo it". She also loves to be exercising with us, lol. It is just clear as day that as human beings are programmed to do as we see and if my girls see us lead a healthy lifestyle then we are paving a road to success for their future

thats excatly what i'm talking about, I started making a lot of changes 2 years ago thats when i lost my first 60 pounds (i use to be 230 long before mfp ) when my divorce happend, and i transferred out here and then my divorce became final I fell off the wagan gained almost 20 of it back and fell into feeling sorry for myself, thankfully, my daughter never really ate unhealthy, as she was very very young when i made these changes, my kids eat celery-plain for snacks, because they have seen me do it for so long, my daughter too says stuff like sugars bad for my body we should only eat a little of that. Most often my daughter will ask for water to drink. but even with all of those changes before i just didnt' get it. Till now, till i started living my life for me, till i figured out the only person stopping me was me. I'm just so happy to have made this decision so my kids can grow up with the no excuses mentality. and I really love this site and all of the friends I have made on here thanks for the support.

    WOW! Thanks for sharing!!!!

He absolutely hit the nail on the head for me when he said: "I've had to battle one ultimate enemy at every turn: Me."

I'm my own worst enemy. He is inspirational!
