should I be netting 1200 calories?

I'm still set up to consume 1200 calories each day; however, I work out every day. Is it okay for me to simply eat 1200 calories (give or take a few either way), total? Or should my net calories be 1200?

I'm losing weight... Just want to make sure that I'm being healthy, too.

    When I was losing weight (maintaining now), I NETTED 1200. By which I mean that I exercised every day and ate back each and every calorie I burned. Worked for me. Only you can know what works for you. :happy:

    You got to AT LEEEAAAAST net 1,200 cal. I would suggest you to up your intake.

    Total net should be 1200 cals if you are eating that low.

    according to your ticker you are still about 80 pounds from your goal, I really think you need to calculate your BMR and TDEE and then eat a sensible TDEE-20% . Please read through some of this and at least go back to your MFP settings and go to 1 pound a week and eat back most of your exercise calories.

    according to your ticker you are still about 80 pounds from your goal, I really think you need to calculate your BMR and TDEE and then eat a sensible TDEE-20% . Please read through some of this and at least go back to your MFP settings and go to 1 pound a week and eat back most of your exercise calories.

    THIS THIS THIS Please follow the above info- in a month of following it i've lost over a stone (14lbs) of FAT while increasing lean mass and upping my strength and the weights i use. The inches are flying off and i eat wat i want (TDEE - 20% is 1850 for me and i up it to about 2200 calories on workout days)

    I worry more about staying under my limit than the whole 1,200 thing.

    Some food are lower in calories - so long as your eating good foods, right?

    You may be hungry as hell and lose a bunch of lean muscle mass - but you won't die.

    They really need to regulate those drugs and make them available to the general public.

    Not only do they appear to have the cure for obesity in them they also appear to cure cancer as well. Damn....

    omg my doctor is trying to kill me ... *screams* lower than 1200 cals a day wont kill you LOL i eat alot but dont hit 1200 as all my food is vegan fresh veg ect before i could easily go over by having one meal extra cheese and meat ... my doctors been monitoring me for 2 years he knows i usually get 900-1000 cals a day thou i have a off day once a week and go over as i allow myself takeaway ect ive lost 87 lb and guess what i havent died yet...

    That will be because you have a lot more weight to lose than others and it's not something your doctor will keep you on forever

    ive only about 3 stone to loose 1 stone is 14lb and im not going to change up my diet anytime soon and the doctor said thats fine as long as i keep going to check ups ect and eat when im hungry. i eat alot just healthier than before alot of my cals come from veg and fruit and i drink 2-3 jugs of water a day i sometimes dont even finish my meals as im full unless i go back to eating meat and dairy i doubt ill be going any higher than 1200 cals a day 2 years later and my health is great now blood pressure isnt high cholesterol is normal. i do think if anyone is going on a diet they should visit the doctor regularly.

    basically if you eat 1200 cals a day and burn off 100 that would mean you have only really ate 1100 cals and should eat the 100 exercise cals back depending on you normal calorie goal for the day you can decide not to eat them back if your eating 1500 ect cals a day and arent hungry i wouldnt eat back the calories but you might find you are hungry if your burning of alot of cals
