Clothing Swap Groups

I like many of you have gone through numerous sizing changes, and have given stacks of clothing to Goodwill and the like. Buying clothes every few weeks is expensive, and many people just can't afford to replace clothing frequently, and in some cases not at all. I think that in some rare cases, it could stall people in their tracks, because the clothing they have can't be replaced, and if they lose much more weight, they will just be falling off them.

I know some people have in the past suggested a swap group as a whole, but what about people starting regional swap groups? By State, County, even city, if the city is big enough. It can be costly to ship things to people, and so that is why I thought regional groups would probably be better. Maybe there could be one big group, with offshoots "pages" if you will for different regions or cities.

People in the different regional groups could decide how they want to arrange their clothing swap. Whether it be once a month in a church hall, or every couple of weeks somewhere like a community center or something.

I have so many clothes I would love to give to someone who could use them, but to ship them would cost a fortune.

Your thoughts please.

I have created a "group" called Clothing Swap... within that you can create new topics for your region or area.

I think it sounds like a really good idea. I would do it if enough people in my area were interested.

    Anyone out there?
  • I'm in the process of setting up a clothing swap here in the area I live in. (Just west of Cleveland, Ohio) I figured it's something we could do every few month since a lot of us are losing weight.
