Too take supplements or not?

Needing your help... What are your thoughts on supplements? Good, bad? Any side effects? Helps with weight loss? Puts on weight??

    It depends what supplements you are talking about - it's a pretty wide umbrella of substances.

    I drink whey shakes to top up my protein because I struggle to meet my macros from food alone. They are not in any way essential, it's just a convenient way to help people meet their macros, whether that be to lose, gain or maintain weight.


    I also supplement B12 and iron because I tend towards anaemia.

    Apart from fish oil, creatine, and protein I would say supplements are, for the most part, a waste of money.

    It depends what supplements & what you're trying to achieve. I take a multi vitamin every day & a protein shake every day after I workout. In the winter months I take vit c & Host Defense by New Chapter to prevent myself from getting sick. Creatine, bcaa & fish oil are also popular supplements.
