H,mmm an interesting thought. I never considered a song. I'll have to talk to my girl about that. We plan on dying together.

That way we can go into the same casket and I can hold her forever.

I have often told my brother that I want him to play an obnoxious rap song about "fallen homies". I have given him a list of like 3 songs each more obnoxious than the last.

Dust in the Wind by Kansas
Here I go Again by Whitesnake
Darkside of the Moon by Pink Floyd

... at my age, this is something I've thought about over and over - it's down to these and so it will inevitably be left up to my son to give tribute... I can only make the suggestions.

    No idea.....

But Blaze of Glory, Another One Bites the Dust, and Leaving on a Jetplane sound good to me.
Carry On My Wayward Son is one of my favorite songs, though. So I might just have that one play.

I also think I want to be cremated. Haven't quite decided on that one though.

I want something fun and upbeat... maybe "Blow me one last kiss" by P!nk.

I know people always say this, but I don't want my funeral to be sad. I want people to remember the good times we had and talk about the stupid **** I did when I was alive. I want people to laugh and dance if they want to, and wear whatever they want... the brighter the better.

my uncle died suddenly several years ago and his funeral was exactly how he would have wanted it. We played Abba, put a Montreal Canadiens hat on my uncle's body (he LOVED them) and then my cousin played the guitar while we all laughed and joked about how much fun uncle Jim was. That's what I want for myself when I go.

    :)

2 of my friends from high school passed earlier this month in a car accident.. she was prego with twin girls that also didn't make it.
They were buried in the same casket.. holding hands and her other hand was on her belly... it was the saddest yet most beautiful thing ever. so sad.

My aunt always says Louie Louie. I tend to agree.

Oh, but if I find religion between now and then, Full Force Gale by Van Morrison, probably the most uplifting gospelish song ever recorded.
  • Don't worry about it because you won't hear that!

"Into the West" by Enya --> http://youtu.be/shdiTRxTJb4

It was on the "Return of the King" at the ending and it is just beautiful. I posted it when my husband's grandfather died in February and his grandma actually played it at his funeral.

ETA: Oh and I am being cremated, but I guess I will still have some visitation thingy. I guess. lol Oh and the one who said "Friday" by Rebecca Black, that is a cruel joke man. lol
