I've started the day with a small bowl of porridge and a glass of fresh carrot and orange juice and I'm about to have scrambled eggs with smoked salmon for lunch. Planning to have prawn Pad Thai for dinner.
Exercise will just be walking around town birthday present shopping.
Hope everyone is having a good Skinny Saturday!0 -

Cleaning out closets, getting rid of too large clothes!0 -
:flowerforyou: Great plans everyone! Several of you already have a great start on the day. I see good planning here! That is the key to success! It has been said "If you fail to plan....you plan to fail." Not us man! We are planning to SUCCEED!
My plan is to eat light and nix the snacks! I was born to snack so that is a challenge. Only fruit for me between meals today. Also, I will hit the mat twice today. I am getting the first workout in early. That is always key to my success. I will check in and out with you. That always inspires me! Have an awesome day everyone! Check in and let us know how it is going and encourage a new buddy! We are going to rock this Skinny Saturday! :bigsmile:0 -
I'm in! I have already done a 5 Mile walking video and had about 40 oz. of water. Good breakfast, too--original Shredded Wheat--remember those? My DD had never seen the big biscuits before!
GOing to the Olympia Farmer's Market soon--more walking and buying some veggies and fruit (can't have too many lately!).
Be back later.0 -

We love water! Warm, cold, flavored, plain, frozen.
Happy Skinny Saturday.
My day is so disjointed, but have burned 723 cals so far and hope to torch more.
Only 64 ounces of cool clear water so far.
Hotter than Hades out so I had better drink up!0 -
Oh I am so glad you did this for the weekend too. I have been gone all day so although I've been really good on the food and water part I have not worked out yet. I was really tempted to skip today especially because my legs are still sore from Wed. LOL. Thanks for doing this. I will update on what I did before I go to bed tonight!0

Walked all around the Farmer's Market and bought loads of freh veggies--AND some incredible whole-grain breads. I think supper is going to be a huge salad and the Rosemary-Garlic bread I bought there!
Going to do more walking videos this afternoon.
Lots of water being downed--lost count of the ounces while out, though.
Carried the grandbaby in the Snugli for a large part of the time we were out--he's so sweet. And I love being able to give him back to Mommy and Daddy when he cries! LOL!0 -

:flowerforyou: I love your goals....good for you! You are that much closer to that little black dress! I am glad you enjoy the challenges. I get alot out of reading about everyone's efforts. It gives me the boost to kick it up a notch! Why thanks to all of you!
I have had a pretty good Skinny Sat.! Fortunately, I just wasn''t that hungry. So, I was able to nix the snacks! Yay! I sometimes get carried away with lowfat snacks. I also get an "A" on water intake today. As hot as it was in the midwest today that was not a problem. I hit the mat twice and feel like my foot is healing fast because of the Pilates. I am keeping that blood circulating so the swelling is down! I will be ready for dancing in no time! Good news: My clothes are getting bigger! My goal is to wear a "10" in 2010. I may just meet that goal this summer. The 12s are getting loose. Can't wait to sing "Pants on the ground...pants on the ground..." Ha! :blushing: I have been buying clothes at resale stores as I have melted down. I highly recommend it! When I hit a size 10 I will treat myself to a few new pair! Keep ya posted.
How have the rest of you done today? Are you beginning to see changes in your body and the way your clothes fit? Have you set small, attainable goals for yourself that you can celebrate? Maybe we can all shoot for that little black dress....and some pearls! All the best to all of you! Have a blessed Sunday and I will meet you in the forums for a Skinny Wed. Challenge....Watch out Mr. Wednesday....we are coming for ya!:smooched:  :flowerforyou:0 -
I love your posts Fab.
My SSC was terrific made Zumba early and kicked it up a couple of knotches & ya know what that means...lots of water, at least 70oz so far.
After a good cool down, I got in a decent round on the treadmill & more water.
can I include shopping and laughing hysterically? ha ha about an hour of walking the racks and an afternoon of belly chuckles with the fam:laugh:
gotta watch that snacks tho, perhaps I had too light of a lunch...time for watermelon! Yum, my fav...

Hello gang!
I had a good day as far as my food goes but I did not get any exercise in due to the heat and humidity. It is brutal here and I am giving myself the day off. There is a cool front that is due to move in late tonight so I hope to make up for it and take 2 long walks tomorrow!
I hope the rest of you were able to follow your goals for the day. If not then we try again tomorrow, right?!0 -

 Commonly my Saturdays are filled with bookkeeping, catching up on phone calls and other such non-physical activities. Today I was determined to get another bike ride in. Who goes on their bike to the hairdresser and back? Me  Nicely done hair got nicely flat under the helmet, but what the h...:ohwell: The bike ride is not as far as work, about 20 minutes each way, as opposed to an hour and 15 minutes. But it is physical activity with a killer hill just before I'm home. Besides the weather was perfect!
:drinker: I made vegetarian wraps for dinner (vegetarian because we are very low on groceries). You can check out the ingredients on my food diary. I added curry powder and a bit of mango curry chutney. I mixed the hard boiled egg with yogurt instead of mayo. The lettuce is from our garden. Even DH liked it, though he complained that eating it was a bit messy (wth? who cares about that! It's not as though he was in his Sunday suit):ohwell: :ohwell:
:drinker: I have been trying to shrink my size 12 shorts in the wash, but despite the shrinkage, they are starting to fall off. Hey, that's good news.
:drinker: I've put a note on my bathroom mirror that says: "MAKE GOOD CHOICES". Sometimes (sometimes ?) the sleepy tired head rules the decision making so I will put a note on the fridge as well as soon as I finish writing this. Snacking in the evening is a problem for me.

Hi everyone! Well the kids & I had a HOT one out there today! After the long drive to Starved Rock we got there around 11am & then started our hike. We did about 12-15 miles, can't really know for sure. We all had our backpacks filled with yummy snacks of granola bars & fresh fruit. We hiked for almost 4 hours! We took several sit down breaks to have some water & a snack. It was really hot & when we got to the waterfall that was nice & refreshing!
After we finished our hike we got the blanket out & cooler & sat in the shade & had our yummy lunches of deli sandwiches (which I made) and lots of fresh fruit & yogurt & some baked potato chips. We had several weight watchers snacks for desserts too & the kids loved everything.
After lunch I had brought a frisbee-type toy thing & watched the kids play for awhile. I was too worn out at that point!
Then we packed up the SUV & headed for home. We ran up to the cafe nearby for dinner, then went over to Grandma&Grandpa's to play with the puppy for a bit. Finally we came home & all jumped in the pool! I only did for about 15 minutes however - it felt great, but it was dark outside & I am just pooped out! :ohwell:
So anyway - burned over 1300 calories today!
See you all for Skinny Wednesday!

Wow what impressive workouts. I only did 900 today, work was in my way:grumble: . It was a great day however once I got a handle on it.
12 glasses of H20 (the good stuff), every drop needed on this hot, hot, day.
Reat well all, see you on Wednesday:flowerforyou:0 -
Hi everyone! Well, I didn't join in this week's challenge as I decided to take a rest day. I still kept my calories in check and ended up mowing the lawn and painting a trellis. So much for my rest day :laugh:0
