NSV: I haven't fit into these pajama pants since HIGH SCHOOL!! Just found them in my closet! :drinker:

I am a newly diagnosed T2 diabetic, with symptoms for the past 8 yrs. Hindsight being what it is I:frown:

Anyhow, today I managed to get my blood sugar down from 266 at it's highest during the past 7 days, to 1freekin25! !!

Figured out that currently, I can safely tolerate up to 30 grams of carbs per meal. This is the ultimate nsv for me

I dug out 3 pairs of jeans that have been buried in my dresser for at least 5 years, and they all fit!!

I also made it through the hardest part (for me) of 30 Day Shred Level 1 without taking a break.

I dug out the shorts and capris I've been wearing every summer for the past 5 years and they DON'T fit.
Off to buy some two sizes smaller.

I bought a new pair of pants (for 100yen which is about $1) in a white elephant stall. They are a size FOUR and I'm wearing them today. I'm getting an unbelievable kick out of that. Where I come from (Australia) that's not even a real size :-)

(they're American pants by the way)

I went shopping today. The first pair of shorts I tried on were too big so I went down a size. I thought it was a fluke but the next two pairs were down a size as well! I haven't worn an 8 in a while! I guess my 12's from last summer are going to Goodwill!

Funny NSV. Went shopping today and I no longer need to go to the plus sized section. Discovered I don't even know how to shop with such a large selection. You have to shop by designer or whatever. I'm used to my section being small enough that all the jeans are together etc... Much more difficult, but I'm sure I'll figure it out LOL

Went down a belt loop- didn't see that coming! I mean, according to MFP I only lost a pound, but this is after shedding 15ish other pounds beforehand and now I FINALLY lost enough for people to notice and my jeans to need belts and for my belts to have notches and to go down! :)

What a great topic for discussion!

My NSV today --I dropped my kids off to their before school care (I have to be at work by 8 am) and as I was walking out, wearing my new 2 sizes SMALLER pants and shirt, the gym teacher said, oh look at this skinny girl! I told her that I've lost almost 40 lbs and she said "WOW!". I will NEVER get tired of hearing that reaction...EVER.

P.S. Not by any means am I "skinny", but I am smaller than I was 3 1/2 months ago. I, however, do NOT view myself as skinny ....YET!

Great job everyone! I love the NSVs..they are great motivators to keep working hard

I've had two pregnancies in three years. I've had a lot of back/leg/hip pain as a result. I've started exercising recently, and I think it's helping: I went to the mall with my kids, hubby, and mom in law, and while everyone else complained they hurt after all the walking, I felt great! Yay!

Good luck on your upcoming first marathon!

Today the grocery store at the corner didn't have the vegetables I wanted, so I walked 5 blocks to the next one. 3 months ago I would have used the car.

    My whole day.

Went to a workshop with a friend who is very heavy and her mom. NEITHER has seen me since January. Neither said a word about my weight loss, but I didn't care.

Lunch was served. I had a green salad, small portion of ramen noodle salad and a bite each of apple cake and brownie. Didn't want more.

Fitting in the chairs comfortably. Realizing I'm now one of the average size people in the room. Felt good.

Came home. Had no plans to work out. I'd given myself the option of the day off, as it was a long day. But I got in 42 minutes of cardio AND strength training. Because I wanted to.

    It was a good day.

I asked my hubby to take some progress pics of me tonight. He said "Dang you look like you lost 50 lbs!".

    Awesome NSV!
