    Lunch today:

Sourdough, medium-thick cut from a loaf
    Maple ham
    Deli chicken
    Mayo
    Whole grain mustard
2 slices Garlic & Herb monterey jack cheese

Half of that, a few chips and 2 bottles of water kept me well within calories for the day. Will eat the other half tomorrow.

That sounds yum, but can someone tell me why in America, chips with sandwiches is a thing?? It seems SUPER odd to me!

in the US chips = crisps

    fries = chips.

I still miss the hotdogs you get at any cafe in Paris. French baguette, split open. Two grilled hotdogs. Lashings of gruyere cheese, melted in the grill. Serve with hot mustard.

Simple and not the healthiest, but it made an awesome breakfast.

Ezekiel bread, natural peanut butter and bacon!

So glad someone else loves PB and bacon.

Making a sammie with whole grain bread, sun-dried tomato turkey, sprouts and mixed veggie cream cheese for lunch.

I don't know what that bread is..... but my buddy eats bread, peanut butter, bacon, a fried egg, and hot sauce sandwich that he calls a "motorcycle" sandwich.

When I was a kid, I made a Starburst sandwich. Starburst candy + white bread.

I told my neighbor friend's mom about it proudly and she looked at me in horror.

    Not recommended.

one of the only times I allow myself some cheese, really.

You should "allow" yourself whatever you want to eat, as long as it fits within your goals. I LOVE cheese, and I am not going to stop eating it regardless. Being skinny won't make me happy if I can't eat my favorite foods to do it. I have a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup from Panera like 3 times a week. Delicious and only 300 calories. Cheese fix satisfied.
