Hello

Hello all. I used to be active with work and stayed in decent shape. Now i have a gravy job and ate too much gravy! I really hate how i let myself go. Now i have a son and have realized if i do not do something he might not have his daddy as long as he should. So i am starting at 391 pounds and first goal is 350. I am fairly big and naturally heavy, even in top shape i weighed 255. I have a wide frame and come from a big family. So i know im fighting genetics too, but mainly laziness. Hope i can find good tips and healthy living ideas from here. Wish me luck! And good luck to all of you as well.

    hi! i'm relatively new to the site. my goal is to lose 100 lbs. i used to be a gym rat, but the pursuit of higher education and two major moves in the last four years have made me aware that when i'm stressed, i eat emotionally. i see that i'm more responsible with my eating habits when it is written out in front of me. this is already a major help. my name is jaki (yes, with a small 'j'). thanks for having me.

    You can do this - for your son and for you. Don't hate yourself, love yourself enough to sign on here everyday. Record your food and exercise. Even just doing these couple of things have made me look at what I eat. I've started making small changes and watching portions. I don't feel deprived or hungry.

    Good luck to you and be consistent. Try to eat healthy and watch your portions!
