It will give you energy. You can use that energy to go to the gym and burn calories. That's what they're good for.0

Most "diet aids" contain some form(s) of caffeine and EGCG which is an extract from green tea. Then various things to suppress appetite. Oh, and colourants.0

Warning for Diabetics
The FDA warns diabetics required to take insulin not to take Hyrdoxycut because it can interfere with how the brain reads blood sugar levels. Hydroxycut contains chromium, which regulates insulin and controls the body's blood sugar. Chromium tricks the body into thinking that it is full. Taking Hydroxycut could trick the brain into thinking blood sugars are normal when they are not.
Other Side Effects
Besides heart problems and interference with diabetes and kidney treatments, Hydroxycut has been linked to other side effects. has received reports from people who have taken Hydroxycut who claim that it has led to liver and kidney failure, muscle damage and jaundice. There was a report of a person needing a liver transplant and one reported death due to Hydroxycut.

For whatever its worth, a good friend of mine took it a good while back and said it worked but they have since changed the "recipe" and they are pretty much useless now...
I took it for just over a week before because I was lazy and didnt want to put the effort in to lose weight and it made me CRANKY! jitters all the time and angry at the world from the minute I woke up in the morning, no joke. The day I stopped I felt GREAT. I regret every minute I wasted on those things.
Besides ALL the health risks, in the end I think they are just expensive caffeine pills, green tea and coffee have the same affect and are much cheaper. If you eat well and exercise I don't think you need them. Good luck0 -
I would stay away from it. I did it once under the advice of a friend. I did it for just a couple of weeks and yes some weight came off, but at the expense of my health. I felt awful...jittery, nauseous, headaches...all for a little weight loss. I will never make that mistake again because I've always wondered if just those few weeks did any long-term damage and that would be devastating. I completely agree that slow and steady life changes are the absolute BEST way to lose weight. Just do your best to be healthful and find the balance that works for you and change will happen0

I tried them and every now and then when I need a boost I still take them. They will give you a jump start. But what I learned is that certain vegetables also give me a jump start such as peppers (red, yellow, green)0

Agree on this. I love the energy, so I have tried some of these different pills (a friend of mine works at GNC and gives me samples of stuff from time to time) They dont make me jittery or anything really, I have no health issues though. But if its me BUYING something, I just get a cheap caffiene pill, or my fav thing to do is have strong coffee mixed with protein powder prior to a workout. Gives me the kick in the butt I need to get in there and work my hardest, which is all those expensive pills really do anyway! And as someone else said, I did once take them for about 30 days and when I stopped I WAS REALLY REALLY REALLY MEAN!! For like a week I was the biggest ***** EVER!0 -

I tried them a few years ago and I felt like my heart was gong to beat right out of my chest....it was the scariest feeling. I just kept talking and talking and was just bouncing off the walls... I flushed them away... I would definitely suggest staying away from any of those "diet pills"...0

I've never gained anything but shakiness and headaches from products like that. If you need a boost of energy have a coffee or espresso an hour before the gym. Real results come from real work! If products like these actually did good and worked everyone would be on them. Eat clean and stay active! You got this girl!!!0

Feb. 15th I decided enough was enough. I reached my highest ever on my weight of 288. I started taking hydroxycut as a boost to my diet and exercise program that I was going to be starting. I took them as the directions read.. but, started getting really jittery. I started having heart palpitations and my breathing became erratic. So, I cut back on the dosage. Eventually stopping entirely. After a few weeks, some research, and long talk with a good friend. i decided to start taking them again at a lower dosage than directed. Its been 75 days since I started my diet and exercise regimen and so far I have lost 51 lbs. It does give you a lot of energy. That's certain. Am I losing weight because of it? Most likely not. But having the energy does certainly help.0

Try drinking a pot of black coffee before you work out.
If you like the feeling and energy maybe energy pills are the answer.
Otherwise keep it simple eat right and exercise right(er)
Save your money and set a goal. Spend the saved money on a reward.0 -
big nayyyyy! thats a quick fix, longterm fixes are best. besides diet and exercise try looking into intermittent fasting! could give you some articles if youd like... i recommend it to anyone trying to loose excess weight...all it really is, is schedualed eating..gives tremendous health benefits0

As a Disabled Vet my MAIN issue, which was no fault of my own, is I lack the physical ability to stand, sit, bend, lift, squat, push, pull and the list could go on and on for longer than 15 minutes. If I extend my activity level which I do since being only 54 and unable to be active in sports I pay by being stuck in rest for sometimes up to 3 days. So IF I were to ask YEA OR NAY could I expect to read some remarks such as "just get out and put in the work" or "there are no shortcuts" and my favorite "if it worked there would be no fat people?" I currently find myself at 186 wanting to get down to 170 being realistic since my activity level is limited. My reason for asking is I am just getting out of hospital for some intestinal problems? Prior to my accident I was always fit, active and maintained weight of 145-150ish. After NUMEROUS surgeries over last 15 years I ballooned to 200 and stay around there until I started taking CUT about 8 months ago. What if any weight loss supplement could you suggest?0
