Help! I've been stuck in a bulking cycle for 45 years.

I'd like to get back to my starting weight before all of this bulking started back in 1967. Is it possible? What should I do differently?

You're either not being patient enough or you've put yourself in starvation mode. Up your calories for 5 to 10 years and see how that works. You may gain weight for the first 3 or 4 but be patient and stick with it as it's probably water weight.0

Start wearing diapers and use baby shampoo. That's got to make you teeeeeeny again.0

It took you 45 years to put on the weight, you think it's going to come off overnight??? Eat at a deficit for about 20 years and then at maintenance for 20 and eventually after you pass your weight will regress to your starting weight. It takes time.0

1. Do cardio for 2 hrs a day.
2. Only eat 1000 calories a day.0 -

Well, my "bulking didn't start in 67, but it did start in 91. I started out at 220 lbs and last year I was at 310 lbs. My heaviest weight was 330 about 7 years ago. I got serious about getting my health on track in August of 2012 and I have lost 67 lbs so far. The changes that I have made have not been diet, but proper exercise (5 times/week) and eating to fuel my body.
You can do this, but your going to have to change habits. Don't try to do it incrementally, just jump in and stick with it for 6 weeks (which is the general rule for how long it takes to change a bad habit to a good habit). Then don't let it go!0 -
Begin with your least favorite body part. Lop it off. Repeat until you're at goal.0
