    Worked for me! Widowed at 40, focused on teenager, met someone at 44, and that was it. Take it slow, don't settle, and be your own person. By the way, cycling and being active was a big part of dating!

    That's good for me to hear. I'm 40, divorced for two years, and still have a few years left with teenagers. No time to date now but I'm looking forward to when I will have the opportunity. I just worry I'll be over the hill by 45!

    My one guy friend who is 58 has a girlfriend who is 44 and my other guy friend is 47 and trolling for 35 year olds. : ( Not that I would date either of them but just saying...

    Date? What's that? I guess I've gone out on a couple dates but it's been a long time. With what I've seen out there I've decided I can be perfectly happy on my own. I'm not opposed to dating or a relationship even if someone came along but I'm not looking.

    Funny you should say that, are they serious with those women or are they having fun or in it for the money? ! lol....Oh never mind I thought the guy friend was 44 dating a 58 year old woman.

    Most of my friends are females that are in their 40's and 50's (I'm mature for my age) who still look great and these ladies still date and get hit on all the time. Men constantly chase them!

    Curlee.... the older friend is in a serious relationship and the younger one is looking but not with much luck even though he's a nice looking guy.

    Personally, dating is the furthest thing from my mind at the moment (and so is banging). But maybe someday I will be able to look at the dating pool and want to jump in. I know it's possible. My friends who are in their 50s have no shortage of dating partners.
