Our song was "Only time" by Enya.

It was a song that both my husband and I loved, as it was so true to our relationship. We met at the young age of 14 & 15 and had our first son 3 yrs. later. We didn't continue our relationship while our son was younger, but we continued to be there for Jeremy together. Over time, we truly fell in love and by the time Jeremy was 2 1/2 we were in a committed relationship. 10ish years later, we are happilly married with three beautiful children and no one even knows there was ever a time we were apart. So when we were married, almost 5 yrs ago, that song was the only choice.

we had a whole cd.... Dean Martin's greatest hits. We just looped it so the whole cd played over and over in the background during the whole reception. No first dance or anything, it was a pretty small wedding. My husband is Italian and his parents got such a kick out of it. We gave them the CD when it was over, I just made my husband buy it again so I can listen to "our" songs once in a while!

Take my breath away by Berlin.....my husband was wearing his uniform on our wedding day so it was appropriate and I love that song!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Fly Me to the Moon....our reception was set up like an old jazz club...my colors were black and white and my husband and I love all types of music so instead of picking a deep meaningful song (of which we have tooooooo mannnnyyyyy!) we chose something appropriate for the wedding theme.

My dad walked me to my waiting husband to "Time to Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli, it was beautiful!

Our first dance was to Michelle Featherstone "Now We Are Man and Wife"

and for those of you who haven't gotten married yet......

My mom read this poem as her toast to us, it was so sweet...she couldn't get thru without crying.

    IF THERE WERE NO TOMMOROW

    Author: DR Meyst

    I would tell you today
That you are the one that fills my life
Whose smile I cannot wait to see
Whose arms I long to have wrapped around me
Whose lips I live to kiss
    Softly, passionately, in every way.

I would want you to know
That you make my heart skip a beat
You fill my soul with contentment
    You brighten my dark skies
You fill my days and nights
With stars, hopes, and cascading dreams.

I would want you to see
How beautiful the world looks with your eyes through mine
Your eyes light up the sky
    Your touch paints the Heavens
    Your kiss creates amazing rainbows
    Of beauty, sunshine, and life.

I would want you to understand
That I have always loved you
Before I knew there was you
    Before our eyes ever met
    Before I found in you
    Happiness, completeness, and passion.

    If there were no tomorrow
    I would tell you
That you are the greatest gift in my life
Whose love I cherish above all else
    You sustain me with
    Your laughter, love, and friendship
    Before there was no knowing
I'd tell you I love you infinitely, without boundaries, and beyond time.

I picked "Now That I Have You" by Terri Clark (not a big country fan, but the lyrics were perfect) and he picked "When I'm With You" by The Why Store.

our's was Stevie Wonder's "You are the Sunshine of My Life"

We took dance lessons where at the end, our teacher coreographed our wedding dance. since my husband can't dance slow, we had to have a "faster" song that had bursts to keep him up with it! In the end we were horrible (we NEVER practiced) but we had a balst - and nailed the dip at the end! It was alot of fun, and fun taking lessons together, too!
