PB2 or Just Great Stuff powdered peanut butters, LOVE (I mix with it and use with water as "peanut butter"
nutritonal yeast, LOVE to add to soups and stews
spaghetti squash, LOVE every way I've tried it
Greek yogurt (ditto what someone said about Chobani's blood orange, OMG!), I cannot say enough!
kale, I will stick to spinach which I love
Protein supplements (powders, bars, shakes, etc.) LOVE if you can find ones that you like (I use all natural ones with no hormones and no artificial sweeteners--Jay Robb is my favorite!!!)
Soy milk, I do like vanilla unsweetened organic non-GMO, but I LOVE my fresh from the dairy milk more

Might be more, this is off the top of my head!

Bacon I never tried it until so many on MFP said I should. Now it's my favorite healthy food.
    'Healthy Food'???? :noway:

Don't hate on bacon. In reasonable quantities, it's da bomb
  • you can get LOTS of ideas by perusing other people's diaries...
grateful for those who open them- I really had NO clue what
to even buy that was *healthy* in the beginning.

    My best keepers:

Dannon Oikos Plain yogurt- sweetened with stevia

Plain UNsweetened almond mik- sweetened with stevia and imitation vanilla

Laughing Cow Light Cheese Wedges and UNsalted rice cakes

    *********
I can't handle aspartame (>>>wicked migraines) and I have to really watch salt intake

Almond milk - love the unsweetened vanilla on my cereal and using it for baking / smoothies.
Greek yogurt - love with honey after a workout or mixed into pretty much anything.
Ben & Jerry's ice cream - heard of it before MFP but never tried it until I came here - best ice cream I've ever had. :3

Two scrambled eggs mixed with a mashed banana. Fry it like a pancake. Two hundred some calories and fills you up great.
    Yes! This is awesome!!

glad you like it.. however 2 aunt jemima pancakes is about 300 cals, no? I kinda think once in a while won't hurt the diet..

    stevia and steel cut oats

I love stevia and how much better it is for me than equal or sweet and low.

I love steel cut oats but they are a bit pricey and sometimes hard to find at my grocers.

Hands down favorite: Brummel and Brown yogurt spread. It spreads easily, tastes like butter, and 45 calories in a tablespoon. Love it!

Quest bars and almond milk are two other staples suggested by other MFPers.

Quinoa!!!! Its made giving up white rice bearable and my daughter loves it! I suggest making it with fat-free chicken broth and I always saute a little onion and garlic before adding the quinoa and broth for the flavor. You can also make it into a quick pilaf just by adding some frozen peas and/or diced carrots the last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking time (thaw them first).
