I've turned to using Truvia as a sweetener as apposed to granulated sugar.
What are your thoughts??
Also, what are your thoughts about brown sugar????

Brown Sugar is one of my favorite Stones tunes.0 -
I have used Truvia for over a year and love it! The only thing I will say, is the few sodas I have had with Truvia were terrible. When using for coffee, tea, etc., it is great.0

I have found that Agave syrup in coffee/tea is better tasting :0)0

Truvia is made from the Stevia plant. In moderation its fine - but it can give you gas and bloating. I use it for my diabetic husband and myself for desserts.
It is better than aspartame based or sachharine based sweeteners.
Brown sugar? Same as white sugar but less refined. If I chose a sugar at all, it would be mollasses but I rarely use it.0 -
I now use truvia too. I was using Splenda for years. I haven't read anything bad about Truvia so would like to know what others think about it.0

I also love it on grapefruit and in tea. Unfortunately I have not been able to give up my liquid Italian Sweet Cream Creamer for my coffee yet... yet.... ;-) Gonna try some of the Agave syrup when I find out where to get it.0

Truvia is no more natural because it comes from the stevia plant then HFCS that comes from federally subsidized corn. Rebiana is patented by Cargill, we don't really know how the process of changing in from a dipped tea into a crystalized powder and then there's sugar alcohols which is a hydrogenated carbohydrate which they try to tell us is not a sugar at all. (Who knew?) I think a previous poster got this right. You want natural, make the stevia tea yourself.0

I use truvia...love it ice tea...haven't baked with it tho and for some reason not a big fan of putting it in my coffee. I did just try some Blue Sky soda sweetened with truvia and it is good..tried cherry vanilla cream:drinker:0

I don't know the whole background of Truvia, but I'm a huge fan of stevia. Either that or (organic) honey is really all I ever use for a sweetener.
I also think aspartame needs to be shot off the face of the planet.0 -
Never used Truvia but just started to use Xylitol. It's very very sweet so only need a tiny bit to sweeten coffee, porridge, fruit, etc. It's supposed to actually be good for your teeth as well which is a bonus.0

Brown sugar is just white sugar with the molasses I think. It has no benefits to white sugar apart from a very small amount of vitamins and minerals, but it is so small that it is completely irrelevant. If you want vitamins and minerals, eat some veggies, not brown sugar.
Get a sweetener with 0 cals. Truvia is fine.0 -
I like it on grapefruit. don't believe its good for you, but even so.0

simple
don't eat it0
