My first day on 5:2, new friends greatly appreciated!

So, I'm starting 5:2 today after being a member of slimming world for some time. Slimming world does work, I just feel that I am fed up with counting syns and worrying about over eating on pasta etc. I would rather count calories and watch portion sizes so that I can gradually lose weight and get healthier. I'm fed up of worrying if one week I don't lose weight because it is displayed to a whole group. I'm hoping that 5:2 will help me lose weight and be generally healthier!
Anyway, I'm starting today on a fast day, I would love some friends for support and inspiration. Please add me! I'm 20 years old from Chester, UK.

Hi all,
I started it yesterday and while I found it tough it was manageable. The great news is today I can eat and I haven't even been too bad. Hope it's going well for you all.. I tried to save as many as my calories for the evening as that's when I want to pick and lots and lots of water. Other than that i'm a newbie too.. good luck with it0 -

Welcome to MFP, and I hope you experience is as great as mine has been here so far. I've tried a lot of different ways to track my diet and exercise and this has by far been the most effective.
