Just for fun: What fitness event are you going to accomplish this month?
This month I am going to ride in the Goldilocks Bicycle Ride for Women. I have committed to 20 miles but am hoping do at least 40. I don't know if I can do that though, seeing as I can barely make it work every day on my bicycle (2.1 miles from my house) without wanting to die from exhaustion. :-p
Struggles:
About 2 weeks ago I was down to 154 pounds. And then I got off track and got myself up to 158 in just 2 weeks! I am self-sabotaging but don't know why I am doing it. There is no reason for me to do this to myself and yet I continue to do it. It's like I mentally don't want to be less than about 160lbs. But truthfully, I do. I want to reach 134 lbs. I want to be healthy, fit, and trim. I want to live the life I want to live and look the way I want to look.
Triumphs:
I got two of my girlfriends on board and we are doing a Movin' May Challenge outside of MFP. We are all committing to moving more in May. So I am riding my bike to work pretty much every day (except today, because it totally snowed and was about 10 degrees out at 6:30am and I don't have gear for that kind of ride yet) and committing to doing more working out. Plus I will be riding every weekend day as well. So I am committing to move every day of the week although I will switch it up. I am walking a treadmill with a friend this evening, and then I also have boot camp tonight. I also typically have boot camp on Saturdays and Sundays as well. So I am thinking that I can get in some really excellent workouts.0 -

I'd like to lose 5 lbs this month - I am doing a couple different active events this month. On Saturday I'm running in the 'Run or Dye' 5k (AKA the color run). I am also riding 27 miles in the Tour de Cure for Diabetes in Rochester, MN. Thanks in advance for the support!

What fitness event are you going to accomplish this month? This month kicks off my outdoor triathlon season! This is my second year of seriously competing in races - I've done three indoor events already (1st overall, 1st AG/4th overall and the third was a disappointment since the bike I was given was messed up) and a 10K (3rd AG). I have races May 4, 11 and 25, and, ideally, I'd like to place in the top 3 for my age group. I also want to lift weights more frequently, at least three times a week.0 -
