What everyone else said, basically. You can change your sugar setting, I think.

Barely any of the sugar I eat is refined or processed - all natural - but I'm usually over my sugar allowance, but under carbohydrates. To be honest, I don't focus that much on the macro, or the calories - I like tracking what I eat and I like knowing what I'm eating in reference to calorie amounts, but I know I have a healthy diet and work out and I'm losing weight.

My strategy for this problem is to manually adjust the limits.

    Problem solved.

I tried to manually adjust someone's limits once. I ended up in prison...

    Sugars are subcategory of carbohydrates.

Unless there is a medical reason to watch your sugar, don't worry about it.

Just keep your carbs in check and you'll be fine.

    ^Exactly!

Yes, I understand once you log for the day and you look at your sugar and it's higher than you thought. Talking with my nutrionist (and I understand everyone has different views on the nutrition intake) she had told me that it is mainly the processed sugars you need to worry about. For example if you eat breads and you log it it will have sugar in it. If you have fruit it will also have sugars but those two are made differently. It's natural sugars that are better for you and processed that you need to worry about. Yes, if you have too much fruit it can be an issue but if you are eating more fruit and veggies than you should be alright compared to eating processed sugars and carbs. If you are way over your sugars at the end of the day just look at the types you are eating. If your daily intake of sugars are 50g and you had 70 in a day but only 30 of that is processed than i wouldn't worry too much.

I don't even bother tracking sugar, because, as many people have said, your body doesn't differentiate between refined sugars and fruit sugars or dairy sugars (lactose is a sugar). Just track your carbs and keep that in check. Unless you have the NEED to monitor actual sugar, it doesn't benefit you to see that you go over your sugar everyday because of fruits.

There. I fixed that for you.

Try pre logging... that way you know how much sugar is in a particular food before you even put it in your mouth. It's a good habit to get into.

I don't use table sugar. I also eat very few foods with table sugar added. I do eat some fruit though and I had a glass of almond milk today. I am over on sugar or I was before exercise was factored in. But, in any case I am usually a bit over on sugar and way short on carbs in general. I don't understand the difference on carb/fruit sugar since they are pretty much processed the same way.

Ima guess its because of the sugar high.

I completley agree. Whoever said stay away from fruit all together and try a "sweet carrot" can is far from correct. Carrots do have sugar and carbs just like fruit. Mise a well starve yourself if you can't have fruit and if veggies have sugar too. (sarcasm) Wow. How about just stay away from table sugar and processed goods and eat natural sugars and carbs. Did you know that fruit takes only thirty minutes to digest and leaves you feeling less tired. Where processed foods make you feel sluggish because it can take nearly an entire day to work its way through your body depending what it is.
