so ive joined mfp. thats a start, i need to lose a good 70-80lbs.

looking through the threads etc, some people really seem to know wat there doing, like upping there calories and it resulting in more weight loss, how do u know to do that? and also wat exercises to do, has anyone got any tips etc.

  • Ha ha neither did I, but am loving this site. Only joined 2 weeks ago with the intention of grabbing tips. Already lost 5 lbs, a total loss of 12lbs since feb. The motivation comes from regular monitoring, the no cheat calorie counter (believe me I can lie to myself easy peasy prior to this harsh reality check ) and generally trying to work out at least 5 day a week for 30 plus minutes minimum. Eat less exercise more. I found out what calorie intake I needed for my age, weight and height , and how much exercise per week to loose. Benefits include if I exercise I get more to eat YAH....I love food. Frightening how many calories I could eat without being bad, just had no idea what was a real portion size, and ignorant to high calorie foods...this site is fab.:smile:
