I just ate something new from my last week grocery shop ~ brussel sprouts drizzled with olive oil, sprinkle of kosher salt, roasted in the over about 1/2 hour. I read the recipe in another thread. They were delicious, I highly recommend.

I shop always daily. Usually I buy:

    herbs: coriander, mint
    eggs
    red onions
    garlic
    avocado
    bananas
    lemons
    spinach
    carrots
    tomatoes
    cucumber
    bell peppers
    ginger

milk (I try to get raw milk whenever possible)
chicken or salmon or beef or shrimp
    yogurt
    cheese, cottage cheese

once in a while: mango, oatmeal, coconut oil, almond or peanut butter, frozen blueberries or raspberries.

almost no fruit, because a tiny box (like 2 handful) of blueberries, raspberries or strawberries costs 4 EUROs. I'm waiting till they are in season.

I live with my parents.. so when they go out they will bring home the fruits & veggies but it's hard to get them to buy stuff that's specifically for me.

So when I go out I have 3 things definitely on my list:

    1) sweet potatoes - I eat one every other day or so

    2) plain greek yogurt - breakfast on MWF

    3) starbucks double shot - easier than making my own coffee & it's my treat to start the day

    4) plain old fashioned oats - breakfast on TTh

    I'm a pretty boring eater.

-Oatmeal - quick cooking is my fave since I microwave it
    -Natural peanut butter
-Salad mix - usually Earthbound farms
-Veggies that I can chop up to eat with hummus (which is also on my list) - right now I'm liking bell peppers and cauliflower
-Sweet potatoes and sometimes redskin potatoes (I've realized the redskins cook up pretty nicely in the microwave on the baked potato setting)
-Triscuits, wheat thins or the Almond Breeze nut thins
-Fruit - always apples, usually some kind of citrus and whatever else is on sale/looks good
-Almond Breeze almond milk - usually unsweetened vanilla or just original. I like putting it in tea.
    -Eggs
-Some sort of meat for whatever recipe I'm making - seems to usually be chicken/turkey sausage, ground turkey, chicken breasts or lean-ish ground beef
-I don't buy a ton of bread any more - usually just flours to make my own - white whole wheat, cornmeal, etc.
-Flavored coffee creamer (I know, bad - but it's one of my last few vices that I'm not ready to give up yet :-))
-Typically one or 2 "treat" type things - some dark chocolate, ice cream, etc.
