About 60 pounds ago when i thought nothing of eating 5/6/7/8/9/10 meals a week at McDonalds, I would get such strong hunger pangs at the end of the day on the way home, i could have punched mother teresa in the face.

After more than a year of trying to eat better, I realize I am still hungry at the end of the day, but not in a way that I can't think, and I'm irritable.
Instead of being hungry like this:explode:
I'm hungry like this:yawn:

If you are still eating McDonalds, STOP IT.

I increased my protein and literally am never really hungry anymore. I LOVE it! No more out of control feelings re: food.

P.S. fast food ALWAYS made me ravenous, 1,000,000 calories and NEVER full...
  • I was never crazy about McDonald so now I eat there only, maybe, 2-3 times a year there. Not more. I did have to clean up my eating, nonetheless.
After reducing the number of take-outs and snacks (chips and other equally "happy" stuff) I find that my metabolism has kicked in! I never felt hungry earlier and yet ate because it was right time, because it was right there staring at my face, because someone, somewhere had opened a bag of chips and it was my moral duty to give him/her company. :P
I replaced my junk food with healthier options and now I find that I am hungry, heating better AND broke through a frustrating 1 month plateau. I'm back on track! :)

In a study between normal weight people and overweight/obese people they found that the brain reacted so much more to fatty/sugary food when studying them under MRI with images of food.

The normal weight people didn't have much brain reaction to food full stop.

As my friend describes it, Mc Donalds is "Clown food" I thought that was very clever.

I concur that fast food is not filling.. I have eaten it as a result of emotional eating and I describe it as making me feel 'sludgy'. Always seems like a good idea until its in my belly!
