Squatting challenge for May 2013

Options
Howdy! I found this workout calendar on the Shrinkingjeans.net website and thought I would give it a try. I've seen their calendars before, but I've never had the motivation to actually finish one. I've decided that May is the month to do it! I already posted about the challenge in my blog to let my MFP friends know about it, but I thought I would post it on the message boards as well in case anyone else is interested in joining us! I figured we could use this thread to check in and hold each other accountable, or you can just take the calendar and hold yourself accountable, whatever works for you!

Also, I know that today is May 2nd so I'm posting this a day late, but the challenge is only 30 days long so you have an extra day in there. Which means you can either just consider May 2nd your first day or you can just skip the first rest day (Day 5) to get back on the official days and numbers.

So without further ado here is the calender:

Oh and this is the link to my original blog post if you want to look at that. It also has the link to the challenge page on the shrinking jeans website in it as well.

Have a great day everyone and happy squatting!

i'm giving it a shot...had to drop out of last squat challenge due to knee issues at 180 squats on day 18 or so...this seems much more practical and I'll be more aware of form this time!

I am in. I am starting late so I will have to skip two rest days. May be later in the month when I do that though because it is going to be rough at first!

I gave up after 8 days, got some results but I would rather work at my own pace.

I'm doing a slightly different squat challenge version. It escalates more slowly (5-10 at a time) but it starts at 50 and ends at 225 in 30 days. Let's see what happens! I have completed all days so far, and I can feel it.

I've seen that one in another message board. I decided that this one was more practical for me right now, but I think I'm going to try and do that one during the month of June once I finish this one and feel stronger. Good luck though! I'm sure you'll have buns of steel by the end of the month! Haha

Day 5: REST - Done

Great job everyone! I don't know about all of you but I'm already starting to feel it a little bit. Yay!

Also, random side note, but I just joined a 30 day crunch challenge as well. I'm not on par with everyone else since the discussion thread was started in April, but a lot of people are on different days in that one, kind of like here. They just started when they saw it. So I thought I would share the link in case anyone in here was interested!
