work through soreness?

I have been doing 40 minutes on the treadmill for over a month. This last week I decided to start doing crunches, squats and leg lifts also. My legs have been so sore! To the point where its hard to go to sleep at night. I woke up this morning and they are hurting worse than ever. What should I do? Take the day off? Keep going? cut back for now?

    I am usually pretty sore, I feel your pain. I run and I also do Crossfit style workouts and other classes. So yes, I work through the soreness, but also remember that taking arest day is just important as working out hard. Good luck!

    You need rest days. But it doesn't hurt to go for a brisk walk when sore, it will help with circulation.
