frozen bananas, milk and ground flax seed. when you freeze your bananas, make sure they're over ripe. you won't need any other sweetener.

    Mines not low-cal but:

    1/2 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup plain 2% greek yogurt
    1 cup frozen fruit
    1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

    Blend!

I want to try a version with spinach just havent gotten around to it.

This one is more of a "treat" smoothie:

    1 frozen banana
    1 tablespoon almond butter
2 medjool dates (pits removed, obviously)
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup almond milk (dairy allergy...use whatever milk you want!)
optional: 1 scoop "natural" flavored protein powder

It tastes like a cinnamon bun!!

The contents of 4 fiber capsules
    1 cup frozen blueberries

My favorite is my Soul Refresher Smoothie: 1 apple, 1/2 cuke (seeded), 12 coconut water (with pulp), 2 t raw honey, hemp protein powder, 1 scoop chia seed, 1 lemon (zest and juice). MMMMM! I use this one after a workout or run to pick me back up :D

My other fave is my Oscar the Grouchless - I use it for breakfast every morning. 2 c lettuce, 1 apple, 12 oz almond coconut milk, 1 lemon (zest and juice), hemp protein powder, 5 T goji berries, 1 T raw Honey, 2 large strawberries . Kind of carrot colored but thick and yummy :D

    PUMPKIN!!!!!!!

    I don't love fruit -__-

I used canned pumpkin -frozen - .5 cup (40 cals)
1 cup of flax milk (60 cals) you can use any milk or milk type things, I just llike flax :P
    small banana -frozen
plain non fat greek yogurt .5 cup
    cinnamon - 1 tsp
dash O nutmeg, sometimes I add vanilla or use vanilla yogurt.

this gives me fiber and protein and calcium and potassium whatever cinnamon does for you!

I experiment with all kinds green smoothies - almost anything works, as long as you have a thickening base (banana, mango, yogurt, etc). My favorite at the moment is:
    2 cups baby spinach
    1 cup Kale
1/2 grapefruit (with as much pith as possible)
    3 strawberries
    1 small banana
    A few mint leaves
    1 Tblsp of flaxseed
    4 Oz Water

It is approximately 220 calories - but that is a pretty good breakfast and chock full of vitamins, minerals, and fiber :-)
  • The one I got from the south beach diet many years ago: one cup any flavor yogurt, fruit of choice, 1/2 cup ice. But, I eliminated the need for ice and use frozen berries/fruit. Because it also has a tendency of being like icecream. I use a 1/2 cup water. My daughter makes it this way, but she adds a banana to it.

    Chocolate Banana:
    1/2 banana frozen
    1 c almond milk
1 packet chocolate carnation instant breakfast OR 1 scoop chocolate protein powder.

    Green Smoothie:
1/2 c Slik fruit and protein (mango or berry)
    1/2 banana
    4 frozen strawberries
1 single serving container of any kind of yogurt, frozen
    1 c baby greens

I've added protein powder or ground flax or almonds to both smoothies. I never add ice because I like mine more creamy than "icy".
