Lost 100+ pounds and now I'm losing some steam

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I lost 90 pounds in the first year I started going to the gym and logging my food. I've been stuck around 108 pounds lost, gaining and losing the same 10 pounds (I think mostly due to water retention, not an actual gain, unless it was maybe 2 pounds) for the past 10 weeks. I'm a little frustrated, but not as much as I would have expected. I'm under 200 for the first time since I was 19, and I'll be 45 in less than 4 weeks. I still feel fat, and I still want to lose weight, and I had hoped to be down to 190 (I'm 196 now) by my birthday, but I swear, I'm so much smaller than I've been in decades, it is hard to really build up a head of steam about it!
Also, I've been really hungry recently. I'm eating more calories than I have since I started this project. It almost feels as if my body is saying, "OMG! I've lost 108 pounds! ACK!!" and is trying to regain weight.
I'm pretty confident I'll find my groove soon and things will start moving, but I feel like I need to start again... that losing the last 40 is a whole different project that the first 110.
When I hit that goal of 100 pounds gone, I honestly felt like I had slayed ever dragon and I could probably do anything I decided to. It was just mind blowing. I still believe I can do this. I need to regroup and refocus.
I was just wondering if other folks felt this way after a large loss and what has helped people to push through.
TIA
Shannon

I'm just starting my 100lb journey so I'm sorry I can't answer your question, but I just wanted to tell you how inspiring it was to read your post! I have a good friend who lost a lot of weight a couple years ago and she still struggles with the last 10-20 lbs. It seems to be true that the last lbs are indeed a different project! I wish you lots of luck though and I KNOW if you've come this far, you will most certainly go the rest of the way once you get in the right mindset )0

You've gone so far! Great job! Honestly when I'm hungry and low on calories, I go for a walk or something to give me more calories. It works. Good luck.0

I think maybe try reminding yourself that you ARE awesome and CAN do anything you put your mind to. Over 100lbs is amazing! I've lost 69lbs, yes, some days are a struggle. I push myself through because I made a commitment to myself that I would lose all the extra weight and I would be healthier. Sometimes I have to remind myself how great I feel when I see the numbers on the scale going down (and I've had plateaus, I even had 6 months where I was completely off track and gained 6.6kg/14.5lbs, my clothes got tighter and then I had to lose that weight all over again. Sigh). Or how great I feel when I fit into smaller clothes. Even when my weight isn't moving much, the only way to get it to move again is to keep on keeping on. So that's what I do. I eat right, I go to the gym and I know that it will all add up eventually. So long as you're not gaining huge amounts of weight back, just do whatever you can to push through it, and imagine how great you're going to feel when you get to 190 (and lower!).0

Thank you, all! It's a struggle, but I'm not losing ground yet!0
