Healthy snack ideas? Shakes?

Just anything. I started eating Cliff Bars instead of cookies or chocolate. It really made my sweet tooth go away. Buuuut then I learned it has 21 grams of sugar. It did have 10g of protein but even still, the sugar is high because MFP suggests me only eating a very small amount of sugar, which comes from my breads and such. Every day my sugar intake goes higher and becomes a negative.

So guys, what's a healthy snack? Or a healthy, filling shake?
It's not the calories I'm truly worried about. I just want something that taste good and is extremely healthy.
:) But, if it's something sweet and has around 21 grams of sugar, I still want to know about it. :)
And I would be drinking Vanilla Protein Shakes because I loooooove them but they are kinda expensive, though they do last I guess.

I eat a bunch of fruit throughout the day, but I still have that sweat tooth for candy. I usually get the Atkins Peanut Butter Cups. According to the package they have 0g of Sugar and 11g of Sugar Alcohols (whatever that is). And they are 160 calories a package. I actually like them better than the Recees PB Cups (which I find too sweet).

    Hope this helps

Try small pieces of dark chocolate for your sweet tooth. Larabars are tastier than Clif bars... not sure on the sugar content.

Shakes - go and buy yourself some protein powder to make some smoothies. I like 2-3 handfuls of spinach, 1/2 banana, 1/4 cup of blueberries, 8 oz of unsweetened almond milk and protein powder.

Other ideas: almonds, celery & peanut butter, veggies & hummus, pretzels and greek yogurt dip, greek yogurt & granola, string cheese & an apple, 1 cup of popcorn, cottage cheese & peaches, banana & peanut butter, slice of turkey wrapped around a piece of string cheese, 2-3 oz of chicken, top with 1 tbp os hummus wrapped in a romaine lettuce leaf....

to eliminate your cravings for sugar, I have found that drinking water or tea(unsweetened) really helps.
Once you consume less sugar, you don't crave it as much!
Psychologically it takes about 2 weeks to develop new habits so reducing
sugar MAJORLY out of your diet will really pay off. I use to eat about 70-100 grams
of sugar a day. With some discipline and hard work, now I average
20-30 grams a day. I loveeee sweet stuff and its important to splurge every once in awhile
    but not all the time.
    hope this helps!
