Samsung Galaxy S 3 - running arm band suggestions please

Hi all! I've started running again and I want to take my Galaxy s 3 with me for the muscin and the exercise apps. I currently have a running belt but it is cumbersome to get to while running. I've been trying to find a decent running arm band but I'm not sure which one to choose. I don't want the sweat from my arm to damage my phone and I want to access the touchscreen as needed. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks for any feedback!!

    Search it on Amazon.com

There are tons of sports cases/arm bands for the S3.

If you just want to just leave a playlist/Runkeeper running and not play too much with the buttons, I actually use one of the small stretchy sacs you clip round your waist to carry gel packs (cost me about £2), Stretches enough to hold phone in place, keeps it dry and works for me!

Yeah, that's the problem, there are too many on amazon to choose from and the reviews are all over the place. I don't mind spending $15-$20 if it's a quality item but I don't want to buy one, find out it stinks and then have to buy another one. Thank you for your feedback though!

I already have a "stretchy sac" the clips around my waist. It is just too cumbersome for me to get to when I want to look at/use my phone. Thank you for your feedback though!

I have an S3, too. Last summer when I got the phone, my husband found an armband that was big enough to hold it. But after a few runs with it, I found that it was just too big and bulky. My arm was killing me after each run. I switched to the "stretchy sac" around my waist for a few months, but found that was cumbersome like you said. So in November, I got an ipod for my music, which is much smaller and fits easily into my smaller armband (or a pocket). I still carry my phone, but I stick it in the stretchy sac and don't use it for music. I start the running app as I'm starting out, then put it in the sac and go. It's a pain carrying two devices, but this is working for me, for now.

I can check at home tonight to see what kind of armband we got. It's a pretty pink and I remember it came it various colors. I was satisfied with the product but just found the phone to be too big for my arm. Let me know if you want me to check it tonight.
  • Full disclosure here - I work for the company, but check out the HB Tune hand band at www.hbtune.com. It is a hand band rather than an armband, so the pouch nestles your phone in the palm of your hand rather than on your arm. That way you can see the screen without wiggling around, but you don't have to worry about holding or gripping your phone. We do have a pouch that will fit the S 3 and it comes in a few colors as well.

You get what you pay for....

Are you searching armbands in general, or S3 armbands.

I use Arkon Armband bought from Amazon. search 'B00771G040'
I have been using it for a few months.
S3 just fit in it and it serves the purpose. The quality is ok. Seems like it's going to last.

The only complain I have is some black dye came off while I sweat during running.
It ruined my white jacket. It's ok for me as I only use that white jacket for running.

I have an iFitness armband that will hold it. I use it for my HTC One X which is pretty much the same size as your phone. You can buy them with or without a window.
