I am wondering how to classify how many calories burned for a 1 hour bootcamp class?

MFP wants me to eat 1200 cals a day, but after a bootcamp class I am STARVING and frankly 1200 cals doesnt feel like enough for me in a day!

I'd like to add in calories burned so I can eat some of them back!

Any suggestions?

It really depends on how hard you push yourself. I'd recommend getting an HRM so you can track it. 1 hour boot camp varies on the person. For instance, when I do mine, I usually burn between 650 - 900 depending on how into it I am.

I would log it as circuit training, but not the whole hour (don't log warm up/cool down). I wore my HRM the last few times and it showed 800 calories burned in an hour (I'm overweight and unfit, hence the high calorie burn), but I usually log about 500 and eat that.

I usually burn anywhere from 300-500 in a 1 hour boot camp. I use an HRM to determine how many calories I burn every day is different depending on what we do and how much I push myself. I'm not over weight so I don't burn as many calories as other might burn. Everyone is different I notice that its about the same as 1 hour of cardio.

    Thanks everyone!
I guess it all comes down to "invest in a hrm"! :)

I am a boot camp addict, and my coaches say to add 200 calories to your daily calorie base on days you work out. You'll still lose weight, but won't be starving.
