It's extremely hard to eat healthy when your children don't

Also, i think the people taking this seriously are actually more funny cause its like it went right over their heads.
Or maybe they're just new here and didn't realize that it was a joke.
Is there some sort of cliff notes rule book for this place or do we just joke & rate everything?
The forum categories are usually good clues.0 -
Okay, yes it is funny, but some people just don't know and need real support and advice on how to not give into those cravings, or recipes for a healthier pancake.. not to be mocked by seasoned veterans of the boards. What are the point of these mocking threads?
because its funny. And because the original posts are kind of ridiculous anyway. Saying you cant eat healthy because such and such in your life doesnt is just a cop-out. Eat the goddamn pancake or slice of cake or whatever, it wont kill you. Just make sure it fits into your macros or just exercise a bit more and stop blaming the people around you. Thats the point.
Perhaps I missed another thread? Which thread is being mocked?0 -
its extremely important that your children eat healthy. Do not buy unhealthy foods. problem solved!0

Bumping because you are my friend.0

Not so. Some of us DO get the humor, but in reality this is a big problem for too many people. How can any one expect to make a change if they don't do a pantry overhaul?0 -

Many can and do. My pantry is full of "junk"...I occasionally eat some of it and *gasp* I let my four children (all of whom are of healthy weight) eat it too.
ETA: Dammit! Stop tricking me into being serious in the CCF&G section.0 -
Have a mental pic of her kids hog tying her with a skipping rope and force feeding her lol.0

I would think to mock. At least that was my impression.0 -

How exactly are crackers and goldfish unhealthy? I mean if they were REAL goldfish I could see the potential for problem, but I'm fairly certain that isn't what he meant.
And I liked the person's idea for spitting it back at them and making a game of it.0 -
OP, have you tried duct tape? I find it particularly helpful in managing the children so I can get a shower and a drink. If you find that duct tape is too abrasive, there are specialty straps with velcro connections for little ones with sensitive skin.0

I believe that being force-fed by your kids and feeling compelled to cry into a bottle of Scotch is the line crossed that leaves you with no other option than to sell your children.

If your children don't eat healthy, then you may be to blame.0

My kids what I eat or they don't eat! Also, kids need boundaries. If you don't want them putting crackers in your mouth (or putting the cat in the dryer) you need to make that clear. You are there to guide and shape them, not entertain them. Set your priorities. There are plenty of things you guys can have fun doing together besides playing hungry hungry hippo with mommy as the hippo.
Are you suggesting we all team up and shove crackers in my wife's mouth? You might be onto something.
Okay, you just made me laugh so hard I cried with that!0 -
Op, maybe if you lifted you would be able to overpower two toddlers. SMH.0

What are the point of these mocking threads?
Because outright insults are frowned upon.0 -
I'm sorry. I'm not mocking anyone. I have two unruly children who force food on me and derail my diet. Anyone who takes offense to my situation, I deeply and humbly apologize.
I feel your pain. Same exact thing in my house. We have the multigrain goldfish, though.

You feed them? They can eat when they are old enough to figure it out for themselves. Stop coddling them, for heaven's sake.0
