One of the hardest things for me was to give up pasta. i LOVE pasta lol

I tried spaghetti squash, and while it was good, it was not a viable substitution for me. I still felt cheated. Then I discovered zucchini noodles! The texture is similar to pasta, you can twirl it on your fork like pasta and it has a similar mouth-feel to pasta but has about 30 calories per serving. (1 medium zucchini per person)

All you do is take a zucchini and grate it lengthwise on a box grater or mandolin. I don't cook it. Just add it into your sauce for a minute to warm it through. I also use the mandolin to create thin slices to use as lasagna noodles.
