How do you get SUMMER CALVES?

Basically OP what you need to do is eat at a calorie surplus and train your calves only in the hypertrophy range (6-12 reps, 3-4 sets). This will stimulate muscle growth. Make sure you eliminate ALL other walking as this will make your SUMMER CALVES look like scrawny little bird legs.

Basically you should be in a wheel chair while your doing your calve bulk and then when you're ready to cut ((about 2-3 months) you can start walking again. Only 5 minutes at a time though as you don't want to spike your cortisol levels and start forcing your body to eat away all that fine SUMMER CALVE muscle.

    Don't listen to the haters!
Any of that nonsense about genetics or thermodynamic devilry, is totally unproven!

Just walk up a flight of stairs a day, it's that easy!

I wish I could put up the Channing Tatum (blank) you science gif, but I'd get a strike lol

They won't. Even with admitting the sarcasm quite a few will only read the OP then respond.

You know the material? Wow. You so smart. Lol. Pics with tights will be good enough. No inserting a cup for exaggeration though!

Really the key is - don't wear jorts. No one looks good in jorts.

Become obese for a few years.

Ever seen an obese person with tiny calves?

Former large folks always have the best calves once they get fit!

Leg press calf raises for low reps (8-10) to build the Gastrocnemius and seated calf raises for high reps to build Soleus (15-20).

    Toe raises work calves.

Ultimately, it does come down to eating at a calorie-deficit and calf-exercises (as you can't spot reduce and blah blah blah).

I do think the 'type' of calf exercises can really determine calf shape though. My brother, a rugby player, has really round-shaped calves from explosive and high resistance (pushing/driving) work, whereas I have a much longer calf muscle from running/cycling. Just my '2 cents' towards the genetics argument...that's not to say it's incorrect, but it's not definitive, in my opinion.

    Let spring turn into summer.

    Have a pair of legs.

    BOOM. Science!

That kind of logic will not be tolerated around here.
