Hello, I made my account some days ago and I think I should Introduce myself on here.
I'm Vicko, 25 years old, Peruvian and spanish speaker (hope my english is good enough for this), I was engaged and I noticed I've gained some weight and wanted to get in shape by the wedding day but... not going to give you drama, anyway I'm currently with a broken heart and on the grieving phase, this happened almost 2 months ago and I kind of have been looking at myfitnesspal and your success stories really help I hope you guys keep on posting your transformations and progress it really helps others, I finally decided to make an account but didn't really seriously start with it, you know, sometimes I just get so depressed and down and don't feel like doing anything and can't find motivation on anything I do, I came back to my old town, currently looking for a new job, and I really don't have any friends in this place.
So I thought it's time to move on (yeah all this time was trying to get back together), and I kind of want to start a new lifestyle since everything feels new and lonely now... I used to work out some years ago but never really got fit nor had sixpack abs nor anything like that I guess because I never checked on my diet, but this time I'm hopping for a change and I really want to do it, I'm still trying to figure out how to work with the app and the diet and working out will help me take her out of my mind, I want to feel sore and tired on the night so I fall asleep as soon as I hit the bed and stop the thinking, I want to keep my mind busy looking at the diet and my workout routines and actually doing them, and I would like to make some new friends that will support me whenever I feel not motivated at all again, and I hope I will be able to do the same for you as I improve myself.
A little more about me:
I love cats, I'm a gamer, I love Final Fantasy games, and I also used to play mmorpgs, I'm a Systems Engineer, I have an almost 5 years old son (who I love so much and lives with his mom), I don't like drinking, and I don't smoke, and well the rest I guess you will eventually find out as we become friends, Thank You and sorry if this was too long. Feel free to add me any age people .
Have a nice monday.

I love mmorpg's. Too bad there haven't been any good ones lately. I'm hoping Everquest Next or Camelot Unchained will breathe some innovation back into them, we'll see. Welcome to the forums.0

You seem okay to me, and the responses made me laugh, so you get extra points.
Keep your head up, move forward, and all that directional motivation stuff.0 -
Welcome to MFP! Your English is fine, so no worries there.
Hopefully you can find a new lease on life with everything that's going on around you. No time like the present to change your life around. I know break ups are hard, but maybe this is what you needed... it's time to take care of YOU. Do the weight loss for you (and maybe your son too!)
You'll find a great support group here, lots on inspiration too! I know I didn't lose as much as some of these people, but it always amazes me that everyone is so positive, even during bad times. My friends on here had definitely helped me along the way, and I'm nearing my goal soon!
I know you're heartbroken, and I know you've heard it before - you're going to be ok. YES it sounds taboo, but I've been there. My ex and I split right before we got engaged, and it was tough. But I moved on and found the man of my dreams, right after I stopped looking for love. It's amazing how things happen, and that ex and I are still friends, surprisingly. We were 24 when we split, and it was hard but we've both grown so much in the past 3 years and now we're close friends. It does get better, I promise.0 -
I know...I heard Joey from Friends chanting in my head "how you doin?"..LOL0

Thanks and yes... It's hard, the thing is, the mother of my son and me broke up many years ago, when he was still a baby, and we are friends of course we have a son together, that break up was very hard I missed my son a lot (way more than I missed her lol) after that I was single for about 3 years, then I met this person I swear I thought She was the woman of my dreams and I still think so, the fact that we aren't together anymore doesn't change that to me... but well we got engaged (I was never married nor engaged to the mother of my son that's a long story too...) but I was so happy with this person that I really wanted to be with her forever, and after these 2 months I still want to... and maybe inside I will always want to but I know I need to start to focus on my son and myself for now, and I want to do this, I know this is going to help me a lot, it's already helping actually, I have been just sitting here reading, talking with some friends I already made I haven't lost any pound lol... but it's already helping with how nice the people is on here, so I guess I came to the right place and this is not only for fitness but for overall support thanks a lot everybody !0
