Holiday in 2 weeks...

Struggling to lose that dreaded holiday weight....for ages there I was eating far less than I should be...so I figured out my TDEE and BMR and tried to stick to that. I'm on roughly 1500 cals a day. If I eat healthy I struggle to meet my calorie goals so seem to top it up with the bad stuff.

Any ideas what is the best way to keep to your daily calorie intake? I've weighed myself 3 weeks in a row and been exactly the same weight. It's disheartening.

I do struggle to drink a lot of water. I'm lucky if I manage one glass in a day so maybe this is where I go wrong. I do exercise 3/4 times a week but that's mostly just walking.

Any advice would be great as I feel I'm getting no where...

Someone far more savvy than me in the areas of BMR and TDEE will hopefully post and help you figure out that side of things.

Just as a comparison, I drink about 6 litres of water a day. If I drop it to 3, I won't lose weight. AT. ALL! I think your lack of fluid is having a great bearing on your weight loss IMHO :flowerforyou:

I drink between 8-14 8 oz glasses of water a day. When I didn't drink water, it seemed like it was harder for me to lose the weight...when I started drinking that much, weight was coming off and I felt better...no headaches, I could get up easier in the morning. (I'm not sure if that had to do with drinking all the water, but I'm thinking it is because if I don't drink that much, I have a headache and I'm tired constantly).

I used to have trouble drinking 8 or more glasses of water a day, but it's easier for me now. I add fresh lemon slices to my water, which makes it easier for me to drink it and it gives it a little taste. I also bring a water bottle with me everywhere! Start off small and try to drink 4 glasses, and then increase it everyday or each week. Eventually it'll be easy to guzzle down your 8 or more glasses! I would definitely try it and see if it helps.

it's DEFINETLY the lack of water that's holding you back, i used to struggle to lose the weight, & drink enough water, but once i did it helped a LOT as when you don,t drink enough your body holds onto any water that you do drink(in order to stay hydrated) but once you get drinking more, it has no need to store water in the body so you lose the "water weight" and it helps lose ACTUAL weight (like body fat) as it keeps your metabolim going

you could try diluting juice/ sqaush as that way your still geting the water as thats what it did at first

Might be boring but planning what you are going to eat for the week really helped me a lot.

Every sunday I make my breakfast for the working week along with my lunches

Also having 5/6 meals a day and with every meal I have a cup of water?

    Hope that helps
