Accurate Calorie Burn?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been done to death previously but I'm really confused about MFP's calorie burn? It often tells me I've burned double what my cross trainer tells me I have. How on earth do I know which is accurate?

I assume therefore when it tells me I've burned 163 calories during yoga, I can assume I've probably only burned 50% of that?

Is there an answer to this? Is if fitbit shaped? ;)

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The only way to get a better estimate would be to get something like a BodyMediaFit or a good heart rate monitor. Every body is different, there are many factors so the estimates on workout equipment and MFP's database are just average estimates.
