I hav just started the Couch to 5K running ap. Running is....ok. For a year now I have been doing weight training/eliptical/bike. As I start the running portion I have used the indoor track. What is the difference from an indoor track vs running on a treadmill? Any difference? Feeling the impact on the knees so far....
Thanks!
Thanks!

General rule of thumb is to add a bit of incline to treadmill to imitate running on pavement or any ground.0

You burn about 10% more calories with an indoor track due to wind resistance. You need to jog with a small incline to make up the difference on a treadmill. Jogging with an incline can suck for your calfs though but eventually you get use to it. Just do what you feel most comfortable with.0

For me the difference is that I can use an elliptical machine or a treadmill at home for free, while I cannot use an indoor track without paying for for it, which I can't and won't do. The $$ spent on that would be much better spent on fertilizer/seed/land lease/tractor repairs, et endless cetera.0
