Are pecans and nuts of that nature bad?

I know pecans and almonds are calories dense and fatty. I also know that you should eat them in moderation. But are they bad for you?

Nuts are incredibly nutrient dense and very good for you...the fats in them are "good" fats, as in heart healthy and help ward off heart disease. They are calorie dense however so you do have to watch it when trying to maintain a calorie deficit. I'm actually loving them at maintenance because it's one of the few ways I can get to my 2700ish calories and still eat primarily nutrient dense whole foods.0

They're bad for you if you have a nut allergy. Otherwise, no. They're food. Just keep track of them so that you keep within your calorie/fat goals.0
