HA! I am laughing so hard at these comments! Good for the abs!
How about when someone refers to a "wheel barrow" as a "wheel barrel".

Seriously, what is wrong with "moist?"

And what is a YOLO anyway?

Personally, any sort of "text" abbreviations. 2 r u ur y etc. "y r u going 2 ur doc?" It takes more effort to figure out how to type that than to just type it.

"Normalcy." Warren G. Harding just made that *kitten* up and now I cringe every time I hear it.

"try" There is no "try", there is only "do"...
"space"--as in living. It is not a space. It is a room, jackalope...

    Carry On...

    Pamper and Goddess.

I want to stab babies when I hear either.

"Cauliflower" in regard to replacement foods (You can have my real pizza dough when you pry it out of my cold dead hands).

"Irregardless" because it's not a word.

"Literally" if you don't know how to use it properly.

I hate "eat back" in reference to calories burned in exercise. It makes me think of vomit for some reason. I also despise when nouns are used as verbs when they really shouldn't be.

Also the opposite, when verbs are used as nouns in an awkward way.
"Do you have a solve for this problem?"
"We should lunch over this tomorrow."

One that fortunately didn't make it very far was "doing a solid". "Hey, why don't you do me a solid and bring lunch back since I can't leave my desk today."

There's nothing wrong with nouns becoming verbs. It's a natural language process. There's no "should" or "shouldn't" or "correct" or "incorrect" when it comes to language, really.
No one is talking about what is correct, so much as we are talking about what gets under our skin.

Oh, of course! Just that you said, "...when they really shouldn't be."

    1. "lose" because that means you can always gain it back (in terms of weight).. its best to think of "changing" your body.
    2. Not just a word but a phrase, "Real women...." No... just no. I am so sick of seeing stuff like "real women have curves" etc. DRIVES ME NUTS! If you want to be comfortable in your own skin that's fine but don't degrade mine just to do so.

I plan to, you know, go to town tomorrow to, you know, find a blouse, you know. YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW throughout a full conversation.

And I don't like to be answered with LOL when I pour my heart out. You don't have time to answer me???

Nah, don't worry about that. Drama llamas aren't my thing.

Me, I'd eliminate "nippy" in a heartbeat.

Blue & waffle. Separately they are perfectly ok. Together? Just wrong.

That would make this thread a lot longer (and probably a lot more dramatic).

If Dr. Oz counts, I might as well throw in Nicki Minaj.
