what size were you at 140 pounds

I'm 5'4", currently 175 lbs and wear a 10 in jeans from the Gap though I have lots of pants that are 14s and some 12s too! I wear a large top (though I'm almost in the medium!). When i was 140 I was in size 6/8, I think. I'm an hourglass, 41" chest, 32" waist and 42.5" hips. It all really depends on how you carry your weight...0

Currently 144 5'5" and a size 8. But my hips will never ever be smaller than 40 inches! That's BONE.0

I am 5'4", I weigh 140 right now and I wear a medium in tops, a 4-6-8 in pants depending on brand... Small in workout pants/shorts and pajamas, etc
EDIT: I am not sure what shape I am, I just recently found out I was measuring in the wrong places for determining my shape, but I am 34-30-37.5 although my lower tummy is like 35"0 -
I was in a 9 or 11 when I was 140lbs. 5'7ish0

At 5.3'' for me, 140 means a size 4-6 in pants/skirts and a small/medium in tops.0

I am 5'4" and reached my goal weight of 140 pounds several months ago and fit into a 8/10 on top and a 12/10 below. Then I started to work on strength and gained about 4 pounds. I still fit into the same sizes, but the clothes fit looser in the thighs and waist.
My hips are big and bony - (child bearing hips!), so reducing body fat will never get me into smaller pants - even if I was reduced to a skeleton, they would have to bury me in size 10 jeans. That is why I am concentrating on getting more muscle in my upper body so that I look more balanced.0 -
I'm 5'6, medium frame. I wore mostly size 8 at 140. Of course some times I could go tighter and wear a 6, but most times I had a muffin top or just felt uncomfortable.0

I'm barely over 5'4" and am almost to 140 lbs. Currently I fit into a size 7/8... I'm hope the last few lbs will put me into the 5/6 range... but it may not.0

I was a size 8 at 140. I'm 5'4".0

I'm a UK 12/US 8 at 150lb, so I'm guessing UK 10-12/US 6-8 by 140? Not sure. I'm lifting heavy whilst I lose weight so it's mostly fat coming off.0

I'm 5'5" - right now weighing 165 # I wear a 12. I recall being about 140 wearing a size 8 (which wasn't that long ago.). My size 2/3's are waiting for me to get back to 125# again. :flowerforyou:0

I was 5'0 and I wore a girl's 14/16 and I was 13 years old0

I am 5'5 -- When I was 140 (which is my goal too), I wore size 6/8 bottoms and 8/10 tops. I was very happy with how I looked!0 -
5'3". I am in size 6 pants and small blouse size. Size 6 for dresses. That's thanks to weight training. Last time I remember being size 6 I was 20 pounds lighter.0

It definitely depends on height as well as if you are wearing petitie or regular sized clothes. I'm 5 ft 3 inches, and at 140 I was closer to a size 8 regular (nonpetite clothes). I'm 134 now, and a size 6 regular.0

5'2" and i was either a 4 or 6 at 140 lbs (generally a 6 in jeans and 4 in dress pants)0

I am currently 164 pounds. I wear a medium on top and on the bottom a size 14 in jeans. I set my goal weight to 140 pounds. I am 5"4 inches tall and big boned, large frame and broad shoulders. would like to know other ladies my height and build who are at or around 140 pounds what size they are?
"Sizes" are very subjective and vary from brand to brand. Yes this applies to mens clothing also (size 31 does not mean 31 inches for most brands). Vanity sizing is out of control.
I think the better question here would be to ask someone their measurements in centimeters or inches. You will not find any consistency in the definition of size "6" or size "8" etc.0 -
At 140lbs I was a UK 10/US 6.0
-
I'm a couple inches taller than you (5'6"), but I was a solid size 8.0
-
I'm 5'4, and 144lbs and I am a UK size 8/10.0

I'm 5'5" and currently 154. I bought new pants when I reached 165 and was so proud to be in size 12! But I knew I was fatter than I had been on the way going up. I went through menopause 12 years ago (hysterectomy) and carry a lot more weight around my middle. The legs are baggy (My legs fit into 6 or 8's, but the tummy and waist aren't having it.)
When I got home from shopping, I pulled out some "old" size 12s. One pair from 10 years ago had a 3" smaller waist. Another pair from 20 years ago had a 7" smaller waist! And those older jeans didn't have today's 2% lycra. I knew about vanity sizing, but I thought that was only for designer clothes. Well, the new jeans I purchased were designer, and the old ones weren't, but still, holy cow!
I decided ready-mide size comparisons are useless. 25 years ago I was a size 5, today who knows, today it would be a size 0? Look at a McCall's or Vogues sewing size chart (they haven't changed since 1959) and compare it to an Anne Klein or Nine West sizing.
Current size 12 pants
Nine West: 35” waist, 43.5” hips
Anne Klein: 32” waist, 42.5” hips
Sewing pattern: 26.5" waist, 36" hips.
Today's 12 sizes are sewing size 20!! Gah! I'm using sewing sizes as NSV goals.0 -
I was about a size 6. This is 10 yrs ago.0

Size Large, and 12-140 -
At 140 I was 8-10 at 5'6"0

I am an apple. I weigh 172, wear size extra large, or 16/18 on top and a size 8/10 on the bottom. No hips...When I weigh 140 it would be nice if my top half matched my bottom half.0
-
I finally weigh 140 lol But I still wear the same 12 size jeans. I have wide hips that will never go away. Perhaps a size 10 in the near or distant future but I highly doubt it0
-
size 8 im 5"4 too currently 135 and between a 6 and 80
-
size 8 at 1400
-
It amazes me the ranges! I'm 5'8 and at 140 I was a 2 but could get into some 0s. An xs or small.0
-
I'm 5'2 and at 140 pounds I think I was about a 7/8.0
