Enough is Enough...

I don’t often post, but I am trying to get into that a bit more. As my the weight comes off, my confidence level comes up, as I am sure that we all experience!
Here’s my story…
I have pretty much yo-yo’d my whole adult life, never being a thin person to begin with. I was EXTREMELY active through my tween and teen years, playing volleyball 10 out of 12 months of the year through school and club organizations. I stopped playing volleyball after my senior year of high school season, having broken both of my wrists at the same time prior to the start of the season. I found other things to occupy my time – friends, parties, food, drinks, etc.
College was a blur of being on my own for the first time, eating crap because it was quick, convenient, tasted good, and because it was what everyone else was eating. Instead of getting involved with intermural sports, I got involved with parties and student groups. My weight ballooned. I don’t know what my weight was when I graduated college, or even for the next 7-8 years. I do know that when I joined Weight Watchers in May of 2007, I weighed in at a startling 246.1 pounds. Sigh…
After a lot of hard work, a year and a half later, I weighed in at 190 for my wedding. I was so proud of myself! Everything was great for a few months then, the economy tanked and my job in retail buying was eliminated in a massive layoff. Sigh again…
Up went the weight. 6 months later, I got a new job (yeah!) which had a Weight Watchers program ON-SITE. Yippee! I went to my first meeting, weighed in a 228… Sigh Sigh Sigh…
At that point I was tired of my up and down, up and down, up and down weight. Worked my booty off to get to 190 again (where I leveled out). I then got the best news of my life – I was going to be a MOMMY! After a long, hot 9 months and some complications I had my daughter. My last weight when I went into the hospital was 276lbs. WHAT?!? I couldn’t believe it and vowed that for the sake of my daughter and my husband I would do something about it. Back to Weight Watchers after returning to work, only to find out that they changed the program. I was struggling with catching on with the program when I realized that I can do this myself with the help of the mfp support and app.
Since then, I have lost over 91 pounds, with under 25 pounds to get to my goal weight of 160 pounds.
I thought I would share my story with you all. Just remember, just because you have struggled with weight in the past, doesn’t mean you have to in the future. Put your foot down and say “enough is enough” and move on

Fantastic!!! You are stunning! It's so easy to let having kids be the reason we mom don't take care of ourselves (too busy, put ourselves last, etc). But we owe it to those babies to be the healthiest mommies we can be!! Excellent job!!!!!0
