      I'm from Canada, and every year we go to Myrtle Beach with friends, we buy Powerball tickets and dream of winning 'the big one'.

      We never won anything, except once. My husband took our tickets to a little Mom and Pop store to have our tickets checked. When he came back he told us that we'd won 'so big' that the store owners didn't have enough money in the till to pay our winnings. We were so excited thinking that we'd be able to buy our ocean front condos etc, etc, Then my husband told us not to get ahead of ourselves. He said he although they didn't have enough money to pay our winnings he was able to buy something, so he showed us the loaf of bread and put the 30 cents in change.

      You talk about going from higher than high to lower than low. We still joke about it every time we buy our tickets while on vacation in the south.

      I got all excited cuz my first two numbers matched....then hopes deflated when that was it....I didn't even win anything cuz the powerball wasn't a match :(

      I live in Florida and we bought a ticket yesterday morning, forgot to check the numbers last night. This morning when Hubby went to work he heard that the winning ticket (the big one that is!) was sold in Florida. Got his hopes all up and not even one matched number. Lol
