HI guys, i'm new here so yeah hi
Basically I have been unfortunate enough to dislocate my knee and do some pretty serious damage to the muscles around it. So basically I'm on crutches and I pretty much stay at home all day and don't do much at all. However my sister is getting married in 46 days and I really need to lose some weight I don't want to go to her wedding this over weight.
How can I possibly lose weight really fast? I am currently starting a low carb diet. Don't worry not the unhealthy starvation ones, like the only carbs I'll consume are whole grain, eat lean meats, eggs, and lots of fruit and veg. Will this allow me to lose 10kg in 46 days
Is there any exercise I can do whilst sitting down without using my knee at all?
Bare in mind I have no exercise equipment and my local gyms do not have any facilities for those who are not fully able!
Thank you sooo much for the help!
So to summarise, any exercise recommendations and am I on the right track with my current diet?

It's certainly attainable. The thing I've learned on this fitness adventure is that for pure weight loss, diet is the key. And by "diet" I mean the way you eat and fuel your body, not a "diet". You need to change the way you look at/think about food.
I would recommend tracking your calories on My Fitness Pal and making sure you don't exceed what you're burning. Whole grains, lean meats, and lots of fruits and vegetables (more veg than fruit) is a great approach and certainly something manageable. As for exercising, I'm not sure what to tell you... I would focus on your food and diet plans and add exercise in as you can when you are healed.0 -
I THINK that is too much too quick ... But see what others more familiar with say ... I thought a reasonable (healthy) loss was 1-2 lbs/week ... But I wish you luck0

22lb in 46 days? difficult to do in a healthy manner. why not focus on losing the weight for your lifetime, rather than for your sister's wedding day?0

10 kg / 46 days = 3 lbs/week ? No, to be honest. That's a calorie deficit of 1500 cals per day and you aren't able to exercise ?
A low carb diet doesn't involve much fruit (low carb berries perhaps) and even less grains - whole or otherwise.0 -
I had really good luck following South Beach. I followed phase 1 for two full weeks and then only added liited carbs after that. They say on phase 2 to add one carb a day (eg. a serving of berries or sweet potato or oatmeal or whole grains). I limited it to maybe three or four a week. You should lose a good amount the first phase then it will even out to 1-2 pounds a week after that. I think I lost 13 pounds (about 3kg) after three weeks. You may not get the full 10, but it will get you closer. I lost about 33 lbs (15 kg) total over 3 months.
Good luck!0
