I am new to MFP but alreay am feeling confident that it is going to help me break through a 8mo. plateau. I work out regularly and have been so frustrated that i was not losing weight or would lose and gain the same 4 lbs. over and over. I lost 33 on my own but want to lose 35 more pounds to reach my goal. I felt that my fat was just hanging on with talons. I have been logging my food daily and now i realize i was eating far too many calories on the weekends. I look forward to supporting others and getting support too.
I could really use some easy, healthy recipes! I hate to grocery shop so i buy a lot of ready made food....i know BAD! I will take any advice on what has worked for you. Thanks! Krystal

welcome! i'm hardly on the boards, but I come on to log in my food and exercise usually for a few days in a row. I too realized I was eating too much, even though I'm already fairly healthy, and in the right BMI, i'm getting towards the unhealthy bar. Hope this site helps!0

You need to change your routine, lift heavier, more or less cardio, different types of activity. Take a closer look at your diet, like you said you know you're eating some unhealthy stuff...change it. A plateau is your body telling you it's accustomed to what's being thrown at it, you need to shake it up.0 -
Welcome to MFP!
I eat a lot of ready made meals too, they are microwave one as well  Mainly because my job is weird hours and is different from one week to the next.. They have not inhibited my weight loss in anyway though, so they can't be that bad :drinker:0 -
I was stuck at 230 for a month and couldn't break through this plateau. I decided to do something totally different and got into the P90X which has a ton of posts here devoted to it. I've found that just changing my intensity and my routine as suggested by others here, I didn't have to adjust my diet much and was still making strides toward my goals. So maybe looking into a new workout routine and see what you can find. On a similar note, I'm considering a boot camp to get some group fitness after P90X.0
