Drinking the Water

Hey -
So I really do not like to drink water. I drink it during and after my workout - but that only gets me about half way there. I am really trying to get the rest in during the day but I am struggling. When I did WW many years ago one team leader suggested using twice the recommended water dilution for Crystal Light and counting it towards your water. What do you think - does it count?
Thanks!

Yes it counts plus you get water from so many other sources...foods, other drinks, etc. Just focus on trying to work more straight H2O into your daily intake and you'll be fine.
Something that helped me is hearing that the majority of the time you feel a 'hunger pang' it's actually your body telling you that it's thirsty, and so when I feel that urge to eat, and know I shouldn't be truly hungry, I will try to drink 8 ounces of water quickly, and usually the fake 'hunger pang' goes away....0 -
This is a much disputed topic as I am sure you are about to hear! It appears that most of the research that I have found agrees that 8 cups of water is the right number, but in terms of how you get that water in you... That's the question. Most of what I have seen indicates that water is water.... So diluted Crystal Light would be fine. Clearly, the chemical content of Crystal Light is not desirable, but you just do what works best for you. Good Luck!0

The water inside of a drink mixed with crystal light or any other sweetener will still be processed as water. The calories or artificial sugars will be processed as such as well. I use MIO water enhancers quite a bit and my pee is pretty clear. Helps me get to my 12 to 14 cups a day. Do what works for you.0

Thanks for all the feedback. I used my big water bottle for the gym and added the Crystal Light - Its 7PM and I have already surpassed my goal and am at 9 cups. I know that I have not been meeting my water goal since I started 2 weeks ago. I am making my goal this week to be to drink more water and hopefully that will make a difference!0
