Hip Dips, and why you should become a hermit if you have one

damn those curves of mine!0

I have insane hip dips, thanks partly to genetics, and partly to a slightly mis-formed pelvis (it opens up more on the top than typical). Nothing I can do about it. No point in stressing about it. Just have to sadly pass on some of the summer dresses out there and deal with the fact that low riding jeans will always look like I'm muffin topping. On the plus side, I've got kickin curves.0

You know when I didn't have one? When I was fat.0
-
You know how I made mine go away?
I gained 20 pounds!!! All on my butt!!! I got a nice, perfect, curve from my waist down to my upper thigh, with no dip whatsoever!!!
When I'm at a healthier weight? That's the shape of my skeleton. Only way to not have a dip is to "fill in" the area with fat.0 -
I just don't understand why they're even an issue?
They aren't. It's something some underfed teenager came up with to make other girls feel bad about themselves.0 -
this thread amuses me. As for hip dips...I thought all women had them plus the phrase hip dip makes me giggle.0

I have a solution:
You're welcome.0 -
It never ceases to amaze how some people can find ways to obsess about their (and mostly other people's) bodies.
If those three women in that photo above (with the red circles showing their 'flaws') are examples of what not to look like, then lord help you all, ladies...0 -
Ahhhh man!!!! Something else to feel inadequate. I shall hide in shame and tell my boyfriend to stop finding me sexy0

This sounds like something created by barely pubescent girls, like "thigh gaps"
QFT0 -
Oh nooo! What if I can starve myself until I have a thigh gap? Would that make up for my hip dip? Or would you recommend plastic surgery to create a thigh gap and use the excess tissue from there to fill in the hip dip?0

Like if I'm going to get squelchy with someone, take my clothes off, and they see it and promptly throw themselves out the window?
Pretty sure if you got naked in front of me... the LAST thing I would be doing is throwing myself out the window. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -
sounds like a new ben and jerrys flavor...
or....
mutant, honey, get off the internets... really....this is not a safe place for you... lol0 -
Oh no!!! If they do do a report on "muffin tops" or "love handles" I'm in big trouble!... Tripple Threat!!! :sad:0

I have big hip dips. I actually quite like them - but now I realise I'm wrong and should hate myself for something I could never possibly get rid of.0

I am female, so can't speak from a man's perspective, but I think those are 3 beautiful women!0 -
I thought all girls had that! It just looks normal.0

"getting squelchy" <--My new favorite phrase. Let's see if I can work it into conversation three times today!0 -
