Had a think today. What has changed.

I've been on this journey now for a little over three months. And I was thinking about how much in my life has changed. I never expected I would come so far this quickly, but I thought I'd make a list and I'm curious to see if anyone else things their lives have changed because of their journey.
First, and the most obvious. My clothes have gone from 'skin tight' to hanging off me. I'm a big guy and I've always liked baggy clothes so I was in 3xl's and bigger 2xl's. These days my 2xl NFL shirts are baggy on me, my 3xl's look a bit daft to be honest, and my biggest T-shirt that was my favourite now looks like a dress on me. It was my favourite because I knew no matter how much I washed it, it would never feel tight, I've never liked tight clothes.
Now when I look down I don't see a massive gut hanging over my feet, It's a bit of a comedy thing "Oh fat people never see their feet" but in a way it's true, I don't have to lean forward to see my toes now or most of the rest of my feet to be fair. While I still have a gut it's almost half it's original size.
My bath is now very comfortable, I like my bath, but I was finding that it was almost a squeeze getting into it, and getting to the plug meant getting up and reaching for it, now I can sit down and grab that plug and I have space to move that makes me happy as I am a bit of a water baby.
I'm starting to like my reflection a little bit more.
I'm not playing video games as much or having lazy days, there's far too much out there I am interested in going to see.
But the most important thing for me is attitude. The last few weeks I've been in a good mood. I mean a smiling at everyone shiny good mood, I can't get rid of it, not that I want too, even small knock backs I can filter to the back of my head or deal with later. I WANT to work out, I want to walk that 15mins home from the station rather than getting on the bus, today I drove to the station because I have to pick up a huge box of catfood and it felt BAD to do that instead of walking to the station (I will have to go for a ride or something to make up for it later). My work has improved because I'm so positive as well.
Maybe I'm lucky, I haven't had cravings for anything, If I do have an 'off meal' I'm looking for something that won't do any damage rather than "oh what do I fancy" because I 'fancy' being thin rather than staying fat. I'm noticing all these little changes, my wrists are getting thinner, my heart rate is going down on my HRM, I've been able to run on a treadmill and I WANT to do it (I was scared of it before)....
There are so many things I don't feel I have the space (or your attention span) big enough in order to get them all down...
Am I just buzzing because things are going well? I don't think so. I've honestly never felt so focused or determined to get things done. If I get a knock back weight wise (I had 0 loss one week) I think about what I can improve and go do it.
They have to jack hammer this smile off my face soon because it's making my jaw ache....

Want the good news?
I felt exactly like that when I hit my goal in May and 4 months later I STILL feel exactly like that!
I have never felt so alive or so content with life. The last 4 weeks at work have been the most stressful in my 12 years building websites and yet I was still smiling all day and enjoying the life outside of work.
I never, ever want to be fat ever again purely because this is the most amazing feeling to have and I NEVER want to lose it.
So you're heading for half way huh? Trust me, it gets waaaaaaaaaaaay better :laugh:0 -
Answers.
My shirt I only use it when training now, however I may even have to drop that it's gotten silly.
And Simon that's so cool last time I did it the wrong way I was still miserable at 14 stone. So knowing that I'm doing it the right way fills me with optimism.0 -
There is only one bad thing about losing all my weight....just one!
I've lost a lot of fat from my butt so sitting on anything other than something well cushioned gets uncomfortable very quickly. I have to have a pillow on my car seat now for my drives home and sitting on wooden chairs gets uncomfortably after 10 minutes
A small price to pay for happiness0
