Has anyone done the Jillian Michael's Detox and Cleanse???

Good/ Bad

Thinking of doing it to bounce out of my rut but I don't know anyone who has done it and I'm a little sceptical. That and I don't want to miss work in loo of the loo.

I am not familiar with this particular product but I see a GI (Gastrointestinal) specialist because I have terrible issues with my stomach and she told me colon cleanses/detox systems are not good at all. They are basically a harsh laxative, sometimes combined with fasting. While liquid diets do help your body to rid itself of toxins, harsh laxatives should only be used if you are constipated. She recommended miralax (very mild laxative in powder form) and gatorade every morning for a week to cleanse my body. Hope that helps!

There is no "magic" pill - I and millions of other, wish there were. Fads don't work!

If you are in a rut, the best and healthiest thing to do is switch up your workouts and intensity and get rid of any "no-no" food you might be allowing yourself. And the very best cleanser for your body- water. Pure and simple- lots of water :)

Don't waste your money on her and her sell out products.

Master cleanse naturally through eating lots of veggies, get your natural fats in so it makes the process...ermmm.... move in the right direction! Drink lots of water - add some lemon, eat watermelon - it's a natural diuretic.

^ I just bought a few of her work out DVDs ... is that one of her sell out products ? (Real question, not flaming, I never heard of her before this DVD then started looking into Biggest loser) ... I love the Yoga DVD

Never done a cleanse personally (for OG poster) I don't think I have it in me lol

I think she's a great trainer, but her mantra throughout all her seasons and even in her Shred DVD, which I have has always been - "There's no magic pill, just hard work" yaddayadda. It annoyed me when she started peddling her diet pills and detoxes because she would repeat that sentence over and over again - on BL and on the Shred DVD.

I have heard only good things about the Yoga series, but haven't tried it other than the Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga.

Ummm....where did you find her products? In Canada they've been removed from the shelves and I was under the impression she was being sued for these products. They're useless. There's dandelion (which acts as a diuretic) so you might urinate out some water weight - there's a few anti-oxidants which are good for you in general - but nothing in these products will help you lose weight or "cleanse" anything.......there are much better products out there.

I never found them in Canada (I live in Montreal), but I go down to Plattsburgh and Vermont at least once a month and always found them there

Ahh I see. That's so funny I thought her supplements were completely recalled.....at least for the duration of the lawsuit.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm gonna take a pass on this though. I eat healthy enough and it'll come with all my hard work and living right. I'm ok with that. I will feel better when it all comes together knowing I did it on my own.
